I can still taste her lips, sweet like peach Chapstick and vodka. My mind returns to the hotel room, paid for by the company; the tiny bottles from the mini fridge, empty on the table. I’ve been trapped here for so long. In this dark and shadowy place. I can’t see the shadows, but I can feel them: shadows of time, shadows of places.
