At 6:25 am on the dot, my alarm started to chime out into the dark of my bedroom. The shrill buzzing sound pierced my ears, waking me from my dreamless sleep. I sat up and pulled away the dull grey linen sheets off my body. I peeled off my slept-in clothes and got into my outfit for the day. White shirt, black pants, black socks, and black shoes.
