NONYE’S PARANOIA Nonye turned and woke up with a start, shivering and soaked in sweat. She was panting and looked around wildly. There was nothing different. She was all alone in her room. Everywhere else was quiet except for the ticking of the clock and the barking of some dogs in the distant night. She fell back on the bed and wiped her brow, then heaved a sigh of relief.
