The river wound, twisting and turning through the shallow valley. The melancholy humm of the stream sounded out, bouncing off of the mountainside. Tall grass grew rampant, spread across the lands along with fern and flowers, and rabbits and bunnies hid amongst the shrubbery. Amidst the chaos, there was a girl. She was young, but not too young. She was in her twenties. She wore a red kimono, embellished with flowy pink ribbons and a black obijime, and her hair was held up in a neatly tied bun. She was waiting. For what, it was hard to tell. I live in a quaint apartment. Starting from the door, you enter into what could only be described as the most miniscule living room you would ever lay your eyes upon. It has one couch, but not the type of couch made for a multitude of people, but the small, one seated type of couch. There is a table next to that couch, and upon it is a nightlight and a stack of books, and nothing else. If you turn right, you see the kitchen. In the kitchen, there is a counter with a stove, and a tiny dining table and chair most likely made for one pers...

It was a summer's eve. I sat idly on my balcony as the midnight breeze blew rampant through town, caressing my raven locks and threatening to blow off my top hat. The moon was at its fullest, bright and blossoming in the casm of the night sky, and the stars shone vividly on the canvas of black and blue and violet. A trick my eyes were playing on me for r...

Sweat licked at my palms and forehead, soaking my cotton hoodie as I darted down winding corridors and twisting hallways. A bubbly kind of trepidation pricked at my insides, making me want to vomit. No, maybe that was the smell. Burnt rubber mixed in with the stench of rotten mildew to form a horrendous aroma. Heavy and short were my breaths as my heart beat loudly in my chest, loud enough so that I felt as though I could hear it through my ears. My feet ran back and forth, left and right, never stopping or slowing down even as m...

"Okay, I'll do it.", I said That was my first mistake. I should not have done this. ------ Anyone who had even the faintest trace of common sense knew that Daedalus' maze was never, ever, to be entered. With its towering, ivy covered walls that stretched to about two hundred feet in the air, its giant rustic metal door and lack of any clear or apparent exit, the structure was easily the most horrific building in all of the nearlands. No one in their right mind would ever even think about entering the labyrinth. Unluckily for me, I'...
