It was when I first woke up that the jolt of panic shot through me, I sat up and couldn't hear anything. I turned to my left and saw the empty sleeping bag, lying limp and rumpled beside me. It was with an empty hope that she waited, perched behind her desk with her heart thrumming quickly in her chest. Concentrating on that sensation alone she believed she felt her heart beat rattling her ribs. The sensation of nervousness radiated out farther than her chest, tingling danced down her arms and pooled in her palms with the slick sweat that it met there. Writing for me is a sudden burst of emotion onto paper, the words then create stories that I didn’t even realise I needed to write. I fear judgement and so am often times hesitant to show my work, I have however reached a point where beyond my fears I just want to write the stories I never read.
