“Do you ever get tired of being in the lake?” I asked. I heard the sadness in my heart leak out in my voice. Deep waters she existed in swam through her eyes, unreadable and mysterious. Instant regret added to my despair, asking such a stupid thing, losing sight of who sat in front of me.
