A blend of flavors from both parents— a dash of beauty from mom, an artistic pursuit from the father, and a pinch of selfishness from mommy to add a bitter note, balancing the honey-sweet loyalty from daddy. As a chef, I feel about food the way my parents must have felt about me. They crafted me from scratch, a tiny baby infused with their best and worst qualities.
