I miss this, I thought as I stepped over the lone branch fallen in the narrow road. Wind touching my face, I began to think of all the times I used to do this with my father. Yellowing leaves around me on the verges, tangled branches hanging over the bushes and the smell, oh the smell: damp leaves and the richness of my wool scarf that had long ago faded.
