I've always thought of myself as a happy, helpful person. Growing up with 6 brothers and 4 sisters and always helping my mother take care of "her brood" as she called us. Growing up with 6 brothers was the highlight of my life. I was a tomgirl in so many ways. I didn't play with dolls, I only had the boys since my two older sisters were now teenie boppers and didn't want anything to do with me, really. Except to be their slave when they wanted or needed something but were too lazy to do or get themselves. I didn't act like a boy but my broth...

I have always wanted to write short stories. I've taught preschoolers and people how to speak English. I'm a gifted craft creator, contribute my talents to others, etc. But have never found the time to sit and write. I have turned in an idea for an invention, it's ready to go to market, however no one told me it was going to take alot of money to get it going. I assumed the first money I gave(which was alot) would be all it took. I figured after (if) it took off, they would get some piece if the action. Now, it just sits there, waiting to see if maybe I'll find a money tree somewhere to give them more. Like that will happen!! I'm retired now and don't do much. Can't afford to go off on the dreams I had. But this, today, made me happy that I accomplised maybe, an enjoyable short story for someone to read, relax, and ponder their own life from yrs ago.
