“Thank you, candidates and students,” Mr. Lewis’ voice boomed through the speakers in the auditorium. “Now, please place your ballots in the collection boxes as you exit, and we will have your next student body president by the end of the day!” Despite his attempt at enthusiasm, his excitement convinced nobody.
