Jabari had always been a courageous kid. When his mother was alive, she used to tell him that he was the only baby in the village not to cry when the fierce storms whipped at the huts and the thunder shook the earth with a mighty rumble. Enthusiastic, pensive and very disorganized, that’s me. I keep writing despite how difficult it is at times to get my fingertips in motion. I also teach which is even harder and more nerve-wracking, but deep inside I really enjoy working with children and teenagers. I tell my own children, that no matter what career they wish to pursue, what counts is the passion they feel for what they do, all the rest is irrelevant.
