All he saw was darkness except for a little light bulb hanging from a wire in a corner. There were no windows in the room, only a small metal door lay in the wall. It was a damp, rainy day outside in the usually vibrant New York City, but the rain cancelled that description. People paced briskly down the sidewalks, umbrellas open, rushing to get to the comfort of their home.
