I remember the time I saw the face of God. It was after my accident, I was in my car underneath a dozen others, my face fusing with the asphalt road. I don’t remember the wreck itself as I was knocked out instantly. Yet when I opened my eyes I saw nothing. I sat buckled upside down with the right side of my face in the road for hours.
