I usually don't mind working behind the bar, but tonight was an exception. My eight-year-old daughter and I had a standing date on Christmas mornings at the city ice rink, and I planned on getting a good night's sleep so I'd have energy for it tomorrow. The guy in the car behind me is leaning on his horn. He wants the empty space next to me, but there's a car in front of mine so I can't move forward. Jack was the kind of man who believed a week's worth of hard labor should be rewarded with a substantial Saturday supper.
