I watched the light fade in the boy’s eyes as death drew near. It didn’t give me pleasure – it never had – but it still fascinated me, the way the soul can be perceived through the eyes. If you stare into someone’s eyes, I mean really stare, sometimes you can start to feel it. A slow cascade of warmth, a pull, a desire to lean in closer, to touch. Author bio

A full time secondary school teacher and single mum with long held ambitions to write a novel. I did in fact write one about a decade ago, but it is still sitting on my bookshelf. 100,000 words of young adult fantasy, waiting to be edited into something decent! I've decided to get back into writing again first, so I am trying to write every week. A range of styles and genres although fantasy and sci fi are my go to for reading. Hopefully then I will work my way up to the task ahead. Or maybe I'll start a new one. Who knows.
