Anne Kenner's writing has appeared in The Gettysburg Review, Southwest Review, Boulevard, Salmagundi, Columbia Journal, Raritan, Hippocampus, and New Ohio Review among others, and has been recognized multiple times as Notable in The Best American Essays series. Her playscript, “The Real True Story of Anne Boleyn,” was workshopped and stage-read by San Francisco’s Magic Theatre in Spring 2023, and her essay collection, "The Lower Layer," was a finalist for the 2023 Jeanne Leiby Memorial Chapbook Award.
