Grandma hums to herself as she stirs in the egg she finished beating to her dry ingredients. Her apron, the one dad and I got her many Christmases ago, is dirty with flour dust and batter splotches, and the faint lettering that once read No Bitchin' In the Kitchen now says something like N itch ' I he Ki hen.
