In May of 1978, I graduated from high school in Honolulu Hawaii. My summer plans after graduation were up in the air. My parents wanted me to go to community college right away, but my brain was tired. So, I got a job as a receptionist at the most prestigious hair salon in Honolulu, Marceau Julien’s Hair Salon.
