"Lets go for a walk.""Don't go past the fence Jerry, you know what happens." Said Kirsty pensively. They were sat again outside the old vinyl shop, sipping lemonade from stripey cans."I won't, I just want to see the 'Planes going over. I saw one from Saudia Arabia the other day and one from 'Olland. You should come."Kirsty put her can down "Nah, thanks Jez but I don't like it out there, not with them new lot mooching about outside the fence. If we go out there, we'll end up in their world. I'm stopping here with the others. Inside."Jerry shr...
"I know you loved that thing Gen, so did I. It was a beautiful object and I know it kept your Grandma close, but we've looked all over the beach, the cafe, the church. Everywhere we've been today. Its gone Gen. All we can do is hope that someone responds to the notices. Come on, lets go home."Cillian held his wife's hand and nudged her away from the cave they had been exploring."Its not that Cill, I can handle losing it. It won't bring Grandma back, I know that. But it will ruin everything else. I told you that when I met you. I'm coming bac...
Well, I had done it again. I had gotten myself lost in a new and bustling world city. My lust for adventure and culture had become a source of amusement to my family and friends as I was constantly blundering around blindly, oozing a false sense of confidence in my non existent orienteering skills."Text me to say if you are still alive." My friend had sarcastically sent to my phone, with giggling emojis grinning at me as I consulted my fraying map of the city. I did not speak the language. I never did. I always relied on eye contact, hand ge...
Well, It was fantastic. I would say exactly what I thought it would be, but that would be a dis-service. I was having the time of my life in this beautiful place and I had no intention of my adventures coming to an end anytime soon, My open travel ticket was still valid, but I was very close to haemorrhaging the puny savings in my groaning bank account. Still, I had enough for my food and drinks and my clothes were clean so I saw no rush to get home. Not to that mind numbing job and those awful people. They can shove it. I'll get another job...

Fire Eyes - Chapter : Unknown After i had come round from my concussion, I just stared at these utopia-like surroundings. Azure blue sky permeated only by scudding cotton wool clouds. The sun, warm, pale yellow and shimmering as it began to recede. Readying to swap with the moonrise. It was hard to tell, from my vantage point, where exactly the plane had come down. I certainly did not know how on this earth i had survived, nor if anybody else did. What was certain was this, i was alive, and in a lot of pain and with the coming onset...
"I've got a plan!" Shouted Polrag to his jittery lawyer, Skoogan."It had better be good Polrag, because you've gone too far this time. I doubt even I can wriggle you out of this one. He'll rip you apart lad and its no more cheese for thee. I can tell you that much. Forget that Brie at the weekend pipsqueak.""And you are my lawyer Skoogan? You don't fill me with confidence. I am paying you a princely sum to see justice is done.""Tis one thing paying for a service lad, which I will deliver, to the best of my ability. But, as you acknowledge, m...

The Ambulance by Andrew Evans As i ran, it was as though my own shadow was standing behind me. I felt it. Like a soul watcher. Ready to split. A crossroads must be approaching. One of those decisions you don't think about but could have implications later. Left or right? Backwards or forwards? Walk or run? Go out? Stay in? Fate decides what happens after our initial choices. That is where our control ends. Destiny is never in our hands and its best if we come to peace with that and crack on. I had decided to go for a run this evening...
Stolen CloudsBy Andrew EvansThe bombay black cat brushed up against her legs, mewing and pawing for attention. She did not need attention at this moment."Go on, shoo.. I can't.. go on now.." She whispered and pulled her scarf about her face. The cat flicked its tail in nonchalant defiance, hissed and sauntered off towards a food stall.Makena had hidden her sense of dread and rushing adrenaline well as she had stolen away from the citadel with the document. The streets were as cramped as ever with tradespeople and protesters in equal measure.Sh...
