Zeya was a red panda at the zoo just a handful of blocks away and I knew I had to rescue her.  It was my first year teaching and things were not going well.  I had left college, bright and full of optimism, accepting a teaching job in a new city far away.  So often we don’t realize the expectation we have until that expectation is not met.
