The bell on the door rang loudly as Jack slammed the door shut behind him. He pulled his hood down and shook the water from his coat. Angie’s head snapped up and she stared at the shadowy figure in the doorway. Didn’t this guy realize that all of the chairs were on the tables, the lights were dimmed, and no one else was inside the diner? It was three in the morning, and she was ready to go home.
