Apartment Building J has stood in New York for at least twenty years, tall, dark, and strong. A generation of bright eyed individuals have filtered into the place, with all the dreams of youth, and have filtered out again, luster gone from their gazes—which, at that point, were generally directly fixated on whatever happened to be on the ground in front of them.
