There was an orchard on the edge of Briar Thornmere, so beauteous and so profuse that even strangers, drawn by rumor alone, stood in dumbfounded awe at its threshold. I am Alilpluton KV, a 14-year-old writer specializing in YA speculative fiction. I am currently working on my debut novel, Seven of Hearts and am publishing my stories on thekvwrites.com Alongside my novel, I am passionately writing short stories that sharpen my voice, expand my range, and let me explore new worlds.

Books have been my companions for as long as I can remember — doors to countless worlds, to ideas, and lives beyond my own. As for my pen name: “Alil” is a playful nod to a prefix used by one of my favorite authors (I thought it was hilariously fitting), “Pluton” is the Latin name for Pluto—my favorite (dwarf) planet—and “KV” is the nickname my family calls me by.
