The sun hung heavy in the sky, its blistering rays casting long shadows across the dry, cracked earth. The village seemed suspended in time, far from the world I knew. The small school I had been assigned to sit isolated, far from the nearest source of clean water. The only water available came from a muddy pond that the villagers boiled before drinking. Alemu Bedane is a classroom teacher who loves teaching. He has taught from kindergarten to primary & secondary schools. Currently, he is a teacher trainer in Sebeta special Need Education Teachers College. The idea of telling stories was born from one of his teaching challenges. On one of the days two of his colleagues wanted to return kids who joined his school until they get matured enough. It was a moment Alemu decided to be their teacher rather than sending them back home. What do kids love? Of many of children's interest stories take the first place but he didn't know any of the tales. It was the moment he began weaving creative stories. Upon lots of searching, he got reedsy the exact place where he longed to be long ago.Reedesy is his favorite site for weaving his stories.
