A chilled bout of breeze, the howl of wolves in the night and the moonlight casting shadows on the sidewalk. Nicholas and I were half hidden in the shadows, our clothes rippling in the wind. Warning: Do NOT read my stories. Please. I might've thought they were decent four years ago, but they are OFF-LIMITS now lol. I am this close to deleting some of them- I was 13 when I wrote these stories: they make me grin and cringe simultaneously. And stop, how is it already nearly four years? I remember all those times I'd log in during school meetings to check that yellow notification button. And all those nights I stayed up submitting stories and seeing that confetti. Talking to my frens at 11pm, because *timezones*. Upvoting sprees. The Marshmallows. Skribbls. Endless reply threads and scream venting on docs. This place makes me so nostalgic and maybe a lil' sad. I personally think the contest fee curbed Reedsy's potential. It's never been the same since.
