Every day I thought about throwing that plant into the water where it could never harm another person again. I was close, a few times. Going so far as dangling it over the lapping water where I stood on one of the forest hills that overlooked the lake. The waves struck the hill with ferocity each time this happened as if demanding the sacrifice I had brought.
