It really is beautiful, isn’t it? The way the moonlight casts everything in an ominous glow, even though it’s quite naturally almost the same as the sun. Even so, it creates a sort of tranquillity in me, one that I never thought I was capable of feeling. Each little star is a pinprick of hope, scattered across the sky. Warm hands slip into Mary’s cold and clammy ones, awakening her from her trance. She has been staring forlornly at the passer-by’s down below for hours now, wondering how easy it could have been for her had the accident not occurred. Pulling her attention away from the carts, she stares at the small child beside her. An exact replica of her, the child has blonde, wispy hair, blue eyes the size of saucers and a petite face, always adorned wi...
Each Monday always starts and ends the same way: painfully boring. It drags on for years and years, and Darcy always resists the urge to fall asleep at her desk. Her trousers, normally a khaki green, have been stained to a dark green from all the moisture. Despite this, with each step Mandy takes, her confidence soars, like a ba...

A pair of haunting, beady eyes stare out from behind the glass, fixated on the moving mass on the ground below. The window remains grimy, coated in a thick layer of dust, dirt and mould. Tonight, the moon cowers away behind quivering clouds, just as unnerved by the creature as the man is. Whilst there is no moonlight, there is a dim, strip of light being ejected from a broken lamppost, and it’s enough to cast an eerie glow on the creature below. ...
