It’s cold and early morning when I walk down the driveway to my mailbox. “Don’t slip on ice” I say to myself the entire way down the drive. Steamboat Springs is having an exceptionally icy winter this year. I open the mailbox and see only a single folded piece of beige card stock paper, held closed by a thin piece of black velvet ribbon.
