I never cared much for the colour vermilion. Itβs an ugly shade, something that my mother would simply adore. I can picture her wearing it to church every Sunday, pretending to be oblivious to all the eyes on her and answering every compliment she receives with a virtuous βthis old thing?β. Itβs too bold of a colour. I like soft shades of cobalt, pretty periwinkles...
