The Bethesda Auxiliary, in partnership with AbleLight, offers scholarships worth $3,000 that will be awarded to Lutheran-affiliated junior and senior students pursuing undergraduate degrees in any academic area that will prepare them to serve and support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. To apply, you must write a 250-300 word essay on how your intended academic course of study will achieve this.

The Maxwell Foundation provides financial resources to student leaders from Washington state — up to $5,000 per year for freshmen starting at a four-year private college during the upcoming academic year. Requirements include a short essay, sufficient test scores, and financial need. The scholarship is renewable each year for a total of up to $20,000 over a four-year period.

The Dale Runnion Scholarship will be presented to a current AGR undergraduate who plans to pursue a career in agrimarketing, journalism, advertising or public relations. The completion or plans to complete a course in livestock judging or evaluation, campus and/or community leadership and active participation in journalistic activities will receive strong consideration.

Leroy F. Aarons dedicated his life to journalism and advancement of the LGBTQ community. This scholarship award will provide up to $5,000 in tuition funding to an LGBTQ student who plans a career in journalism and is committed to furthering NLGJA’s mission of fair and accurate coverage of the LGBTQ community.

The Ohio News Media Foundation, in alignment with its mission of achieving the highest standards of excellence and professionalism in all phases of journalism and newspaper publishing, awards scholarships to high school and collegiate students annually. All applicants must be Ohio high school seniors or college/university students.

This scholarship will be awarded each year to a Houston area high school senior interested in a career in media. Applicants must choose one of multiple essay questions related to media, advertising, and Houston media mentor Sandy Schenker Capell, to answer in 500 words or less.

The Against The Grain Artistic Scholarship provides financial assistance and promotion of Asian American college students pursuing a major in the performing, visual arts, journalism and/or mass communications. Multiple $1,000 awards will be given, to be applied toward school tuition and fees.

The H. Thomas Austern Writing Competition is intended to encourage law students interested in the areas of law affecting FDA-regulated industries. Winners are awarded $750 for first place, $500 for second, and $250 for third, and a complimentary one-year FDLI membership. Top papers will be considered for publication in the Food and Drug Law Journal.

The purpose of the James B. Boskey Student Essay Competition is to create greater interest in the field of dispute resolution among law students.
