Caring seriously about the well being of others, one’s country or comrade.

Loyalty operates on a higher level than that. The President of the United States takes an oath of loyalty to the Constitution of the United States, as well as federal employees, law enforcement personnel, and members of the armed services.
Realty check.
Anything against one’s own country is a treasonous offense. Whether or not it is enforced or not enforced. So before you down a few and sit behind the wheel of a motor vehicle.
Stop.
Stop it.
Don’t get in, hop in, or plan to hop out with success. The pledge and pleasure of allegiance, whether enforced or not enforced is still a pledge. Of allegiance. To a higher power. A higher order.
A sad truth. Loyalty that comes from deep within is not an over-nighter. Loyalty is like courage. It shows itself most clearly when operating under stress, inconvenience. It does not cringe under assault.(wjb)
It withstands all temptation.
It is a virtue.
However. Virtue by itself is no guarantee. Virtue by itself is no guarantee of right action, which requires more than good intentions.
Know your rights.

Know yourself.
On two occasions, David has clear opportunity to destroy Saul, but refrains from doing so out of loyalty (1 Samuel 24 and 26). After Saul and Jonathan die in battle, David’s famous lament—How the mighty have fallen—is equally for both (2 Samuel 1:17-27).(wjb)
We do not have to like those to whom we are loyal, and they don’t have to like us.

Somebody expects something fine and noble and unselfish of us;
Someone expects us to be faithful.
Fear.
Panic.
Tensity.
Tightness.
Choking.
Strangling.
and
Angling.
Methods used as a vice. Methods used to test the mettle.
Of intentions. Within the framework of work.
Can be dreadful, can be deep-seated too.
Hence. The good dog. Instinctually guided.
On the flip side, maybe even the fist side, humans are guided by choice. Choices.
Ambiguity. Yuck.
Despair. Yuck again.
Living with oneself can be very loud in the quietest of moments.
The heart does what it wants.
Freedom is not free.
It comes at a price. Of life. Of liberty. Of the un- shackled right to the pursuit of a life well lived.
Happyness aside. Happyness can be a buzz. Happyness can just be a buzz word. It really is quite subjective.
Know your rights. You still have the right to pursue it. But. We do not have the right to turn our backs away. From it. From others.
Undimmed by human tears.
In liberating strife.
God shed His grace on thee.
God shed His grace on me.

Blind loyalty.
Informed loyalty. The duty of all of us. Ethically. Loyally. Royally.
