Drama Romance

Β Β Β "Hey, Alyssa. It's been a while."Β

I'm still not sure why I accepted his invitation to come here for dinner. Who goes on a date to get back together with their ex? I've been making some bad decisions lately. He'sΒ not even worth it. I mean, this place definitely seems like the lowest rated restaurant in the town.Β

Β Β Β "Why so cheap?"

Β Β Β "I'm sorry, this is all I can afford right now."Β

Well, if you want me, you'd better take me on a better date, Bitch.Β

Β Β Β "You got a problem with that?"

Β Β Β I sigh. "What do you want, James?"Β

Β Β Β "Beautiful as ever tonight, Alyssa." He continues. He knows not responding to my questions is one of the things I hate most. What the Hell is he doing? Does he even want me anymore or is he messing around? Do I even want him?

"What do youΒ wantΒ fromΒ me?"Β My tone turns cold, I need to show him this isn't a game.Β

The act is over. He smiles, sadly. "I want you back, Alyssa. We had something, and I miss you."

I get up. "I'm leaving. Stop messing around. You didn't want me, now you do. That young girl you ran off with didn't stay forever? Be smarter. I don't need you. I don't want you." I'm not going to do this anymore.

"If you didn't want me then why did you come?" His question stops me in my tracks. WhyΒ didΒ I come? Because I'm stupid, because I wanted you, because I loved you once and thought I could do it again. Because I wanted him, and I couldn't even admit it to myself. I turn back and speak to him.Β

Β "If you want me you're going to have to show me."
