'From peaceful moonlight to burning forests'

It was that time of the year when happiness and joy could be seen everywhere,the streets of Oxford were decorated with lights,snow was falling and had covered the trees which were decorated using bells,lights and sweets,children were running everywhere around with the excitement of Santa Claus coming,lovers were seen dancing and enjoying to their utmost,and everything seemed perfect at that time! It was Christmas time,a time when all were dressed up the way they wanted,a time when there was no stress of work or academics,a time when all the struggles were forgotten,and everyone was so happy and enthusiastic and couldn’t wait for  the clock to strike 12,but the happiest ones were Lynda and Jack who had fallen in love and this was their first ever christmas after discovering their love for each other! Both of them were the citizens of England and had been dating each other for a few months!Lynda’s parents had died and she used to live alone in an apartment!Lynda wore a short,white coloured dress that day with pink lipstick and mascara,whereas Jack wore a blue polo sweater with white jeans and both of them met underneath the biggest and the most wonderfully decorated tree. Both looked perfect,and complimented as romantically as they could to each other,

            “You look absolutely gorgeous as always ,my love”,were the words that completely melted Lynda’s heart as she completed Jack’s sentence by replying,

           “And you look super cute as always,my handsome”

The very moment,they kiss each other as the clock stroke 12,and wish each other,             ‘Merry Christmas’. They dance a lot together that night as everyone else claps for them and joins them! Love was in the air and it was one of the most memorable nights of their lives! Life was absolutely going the way they wanted it to go,they used to roam around in the streets all day long,they used to shop together,eat meals together, sing together,laugh till an extent that it used to bring tears in their eyes,and were experts in completing each other's sentences! There was never a time when they fought or shouted at each other and apart from being lovers,they were best friends and couldn’t just live without sharing their problems with each other or discussing their life with one another. There was never a day when they hadn’t proved their love for each other. Their fondness could be seen by the way Jack used to appreciate Lynda’s presence in his life,by buying special roses for her,red,pink and white,the way he used to buy her his favourite rings and stuff that he wanted her to wear! 

Everything was just so calm,and life seemed extremely beautiful and unique when one day they met for dinner and went to Lynda’s favourite restaurant.That was the moment when Lynda discovered that something was wrong with Jack and there was something that was bothering him as he seemed stressed and troubled. They knew they couldn’t hide anything from each other and so,Jack told Lynda that his mother was not well. There was some problem with her kidneys and the doctors told him that she needed new kidneys but unfortunately,no one was ready to donate a kidney. One of the kidneys of her mother was not functioning and the doctors had told her that if not taken an action,anything could happen,even death! Lynda had met Jack’s mother once but they didn’t tell her about their love and had thought to surprise her! Jack really loved his mother and was quite attached to her.He just couldn’t live without her too,the very same way he couldn’t live without Lynda! At that moment,Lynda cheered him up by going to his favourite cafe for ice cream after dinner and gave him the hope and encouragement that everything will be perfectly fine! They met everyday,as usual,with Jack being more upset than

the day before and this really made Lynda upset too but they just couldn’t do anything as this wasn’t in their hands! Lynda used to make him coffee to make him feel a bit better and it always used to have a positive impact on him but one day,Jack broke up in front of her and told her that things aren’t getting better and anything could happen to his mom at any time! Lynda somehow managed to control her emotions too but she just couldn’t as tears rolled down on her pink cheeks! After that day,Lynda decided that she just couldn’t see Jack this way as she deeply thought about this problem when she came up to a solution she never wanted to come up to! She decided to donate one of her kidneys to Jack’s mom as this would surely solve the problem but she decided not to tell Jack about this as Jack was in love with her and wouldn’t ever let her risk her life! They were just about to tell Jack’s mom about their love when this problem came up!

The decision that Lynda made wasn’t safe at all as she was just twenty four and was such a famous writer at that time,the best debator and she had millions of dreams to fulfill with Jack! The very next day,Lynda went to the hospital where Jack’s mom was admitted and she told the doctors to take one of her kidneys and give it to Jack’s mom.The doctors questioned a lot and themselves weren’t ready to take such a big step but as Lynda insisted them,they had no other option! She had told her fake name to the doctors so they couldn’t tell Jack that Lynda was the one who gave her kidney! After the extraction of her kidney,she went back to her home and the doctors told Jack that finally,someone had given her kidney for Jack’s mom. Jack tried his best to get to know about that person but Lynda left no hints or clues for him and had told the doctors to make up a story and tell Jack that some lady gave her kidney as she was tired of her life but it was a lie! The very next day,Jack was so happy as he heard from them and rushed to meet Lynda and told her that finally,they found a kidney and they could now surprise his mom by telling her about their love and marrying each other! Lynda was so happy for Jack but she knew that she couldn’t live for long! Tears rolled down her eyes as she hugged Jack and told him that she is happy for him!His mom got perfectly fine after her kidney transplant and Jack was so happy and relaxed. He told Jack that he wanted to take Lynda to his mom and wanted to express his love for her in front of her so they could live together! Lynda looked as beautiful as always when they went to his mom and after hearing their story,his mom accepted Lynda with open arms and an open heart as she welcomed her to their family! They fixed a date for their marriage and everything seemed so good that Lynda just didn’t want to leave this world and Jack ever and go but as time passed,she started feeling dizzy and started vomiting after every meal she had with Jack. Her body just couldn’t accept the food that she had and she grew so weak! This made Jack so upset and he just couldn’t believe what was happening! He questioned a lot from Lynda but she didn’t tell him the reality till her last breath! 

She was admitted in the hospital and as the doctors had made a commitment with Lynda that they won’t tell Jack anything to Jack,they didn’t. Jack used to cry a lot,used to smack things down and used to stay with Lynda all day long and even at nights,he didn’t used to sleep and used to stay with Lynda! Lynda never pretended that she was upset and till her last breath,she kept on happily dreaming of the future with Jack when one day,Lynda started having breathing

problem but she was so brave that she didn’t tell this to anyone and her head was in Jack’s lap when her heart skipped the last beat as she said,  

         “Jack,I have always loved you with all of my heart and we will surely meet in Heaven as true lovers never get separated!”

Hearing this,Jack hugged her tight and shouted out loud that nothing will happen to you but she was dead! The moment she died,Jack’s mom rushed to the hospital and the doctors suddenly came. The doctors were weeping for her death too as they knew the reality that why had she died and one of them just couldn’t control and told the truth to Jack and his mom and they way she herself died,saving Jack’s moms life and sacrificing her own. Hearing this,Jack almost fainted and he just couldn’t digest the truth.He screamed loudly and shouted at the doctors that why had they let her take this big step. His mother just couldn’t believe what was happening as she blamed herself for all that had happened! Jack went up to Lynda and disagreed on getting her buried as he kept on kissing Lynda’s hands and mourning for her with all his heart! No one could actually see Jack in such a situation! That very moment,Jack questioned his mom,

            “Lynda actually loved him as much as Juliet loved Romeo,didn’t she?’”
