Difficult paths.
Inaccessible slopes.
Summit too high.
Path too steep.(pf)
When the road ahead is only uphill.
When the chasm becomes much too wide to cross, to climb.
Who do you call on ?
The Expert Wise Guy.
The Son of the Living God.
He reminds us who we are.
Where we came from.
Why we are here.
What to do about it.
He is the God of the present.
When we know what the right thing to do is, but are deathly afraid.
Of it.
Of the unknown.
Of the predictability, the routine of the certain times and certainty of time.
The Expert Wise Guy fills us with hope. Real hope. Unfrightening in hope.
He’s at our side.
During the difficult paths, up the inaccessible slopes of life’s ups and downs.
He reminds us who we are.
A child of God. Any child of His must strive for the best.
Even when and if we are our most afraid.
He puts a firm and gentle hand on our shoulders.
Lifts us up from our own despair.
As an agent of change. Our change. He is there to guide the perilous- ness of our fear out of the path of despair. Out of the historical nonsense that hold us back. Of the mess of the past.
He is at our side to enlighten and refresh.
This Expert Wise Guy.
You see. He loves to walk. He loves to walk the walk. He loves to walk the walk of a life well lived. Especially during the dark times. Oh how he loves to see us come to the realization that the present can be good. Really good.
He pushes us to figure out who we are byasking, “Who do you say that I am?
Man plans. God laughs.
Not at us.
He wants us to discover the better, the best in others.
And He hires you, chooses YOU for the job☺️
How cool is that?
Pretty cool.
All this, and he walks the walk.
Nice!!
He uses our struggles, our mistakes as the syllabus.
The agenda.
The table of contents.
The chapters
Of bonafide and deep meaningful change.
We resist.
Often.
Because even the bad times, the bad things can become the habit on which we rely for familiarity.
Figuring selfishly that the familiar is better than the unknown.
He knows you can handle it.
Really handle it.
By HOW you handle it.
Yep.
He is an Expert Wise Guy.
We lose our way, lose our breath.
Say, we cannot go on.
He knows we can. He shows us we can.
He has a burning desire for us to “get it” and is most patient when we try to figure it out. Through pain, through heart ache, through joy too.
He chooses you, does not forsake you. He gives you the point of reference of you and says, I trust you, take it from here. Although we stumble and fall, a lot sometimes, he never ever judges us.
I definitely want to work for a guy like this, the Expert Wise Guy.
Mostly I do because I know how much I need his wisdom. To accept the things I cannot change. The courage to change the things I can. The wisdom to know when the chasm of change just will not occur.
What may be a loss. Of hopes and dreams, may be a continuation of the same old same old, or it maybe a new chapter of total and complete goodness.
Depending, of course, on how you get with the program.
Resistantly.
Restoritively.
Regressively.
Re purposefully.
There is always a place for you.
In His House.
The price: A life well lived.
Simple, right?
Well. There can be a rather sizable amount of “oops” and “baggage” to sort through before you arrive at His gates😌. Best learn the stages from the master and get right on it. Get right on with the forgiveness of sins and mistakes.
Sooner rather than later.
Sounds rather simple, right?
It is for Him. Not so for us. We tend to think we know better🫤.
Man plans. God laughs.
Not at us.
With us. Next to us.
There is no impossible with Him. He takes the difficult paths and makes sense of the deep divides, the what and whys. Places thoughts in our minds when we start from who we are, who we may have become. He knows, deep down we want to become better. We just do not always know how.
When we take matters into our own hand. He is ever watchful. Firm and gentle to turn us away from hurt, hurting ourselves for another day.
When all we need is to hold hands with another, a kind word, a firm hug, he gives us all of those in our greatest time of need.
He is wise and unselfish in the best of times and the worst of times.
Especially when we are lost.
He is ever more there, ever more watchful. Fear is no march for the Expert Wise Guy.
He chews up and spits out the “been there, done that” with the assurance of steadfast and honest experience. He is measured and never gives too much too soon. We are slaves to sin. He is a slave to us and our sin. He has a handle on it for us.
Especially when division is sown, re sown, sown again. We think, Dear God, here we go again. He thinks. No.You do. It have to “go there” again.
Bad habits die hard.
He is there, by our side to make sure the pain lessens over time. He is ever and always patient. He judges the response, not the effort, not the intention. He wants us to “get it”. Learn the lesson.
If we falter, it may just take a hug to repair the damage.Simple but not easy.
Some of us require more convincing of the true nature of His goodness. Stubbornness has a way of walking along with us on the difficult paths, the inaccessible slopes. Our labors that seem, but are not ignored. We doubt. He reminds.
Through the greatest of chasms, that of time. We can change our perspectives, perceptions, propitiations.
He fills the chasm of time too.
With fulfillment.
He lifts our spirits.
Lifts the spirits of others.
He reminds us of who we are.
A child of God.
He expects us to “hop to it” with the joy of a child.
Even the oldsters.
We are not immune to change.
We have it in us to change.
From not so good to better, to best.
To fill the divide with the foundation of concrete goodness.Away from the precariousness of the past to the certainty of a bright future.
