Christian Crime Drama

For those who may follow, His works, His words.

Today is one of days of the Forty days.

We may give up.

Something.

We may offer.

Something.

We may pray for,

Something.

We may pray for,

Someone.

We may ask for,

Forgiveness.

We may seek for,

Forgiveness.

We may run and

Hide

We may hide and

Seek.

In reality.

We play hide and seek only with Satan.

His ways are a tempting sugar coated insidious offensive act of grab and take.

Moving along.

Today.

We may spend our minutes,

wondering.

We may spend our time,

wavering.

We may spend our time,

looking for a clue.

We may choose to eat pizza,

without the meat.

We may choose to blow our stacks,

or puff on a cigar or cigarette.

We may have given up the

cigar,

the cigarette.

in an attempt to liken our giving up of “something” or someone in an attempt we have a clue about,

Giving up one’s life for another.

C’mon.

We know we are beyond afraid.

To give up something so precious, so tasty, so yummy, so enticing, of ourselves, for the life of another.

Yet.

There are many who do.

There are many who have done so, done this.

Given up their life as they know it, or thought they knew it,

For the sake of other.

For-sake-en.

More on this later.

When we are truly able to “handle” to forsake all others in the spirit of Him. The God and Father.

When Jesus was facing the hard test of giving up His life for sinners, he cried out, “My God, my God why have your forsaken me.” His life here on earth was coming to a close.

In the weakest of the moment of pain and suffering, little did Jesus know that His Father had bigger plans, bigger plans for His life. For the sake of others, the sinners. In orderteach us the true and complete meaning of cleansing penance.

Simple. But. Not Easy.

Complicated only for those who may not “get it” yet.

Get the message.

Get the point.

Get the more expensive this or that……

While you are puffing, please put that it your pipe and smoke on it for awhile.

Puff away.

All you wish.

Disclaimer: We all, if we honestly admit it—need a vice. And to some with an inflated ego, a vice is the source of what feeds theirs—their ego, that is. Their slice of “growing.” To some, it can be a human person who they feed off of, because it feeds the needs of a searching soul. A soul who has yet to see the error of their ways.

He. Did not need one.

A vice.

That is why he is hands and feet above the crowd.

And the crown.

And most of all of us.

Hang in there. We will get there. With space He gives us in His heart of hearts—

for us.

Until then.

Keep doing the hard work.

Taking the hard tests.

Thank you.

We are not talking about the “small” things, the “small” stuff, the “small” ball things of extending hands of kindness, muscles or strength.

Why?

Because. It clearly states the obvious.

Now. Before you go and start pitching all your worldly possessions.

Stop.

And.

Think.

On this journey we call life. In His eyes, this or that does not mean a piece of paper.

It does mean a commitment though.

However you choose to make yours, is your business.

And. His.

His business.

The commitment to forsake all others, does not mean it is not ok to “phone a friend” in a time of true need. Bonafide need. A “this can wait til tomorrow” need. Most of us are not idiots. Weak, yes. Idiots, no.

The commitment to forsake all others is a vow. A sacred vow.

A sacred vow.

A sacred vow.

A sacred vow.

A sacred vow.

It is often, but not always, made in the context of marriage.

And sometimes, not.

You do you.

And if you follow the teachings of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved gain from wrongdoing. (wk)

Have at it.

Your marriage.

Your way.

But not His way.

Not His ways.

He has a very straightforward way to the finish line.

God knows our hearts.

When we take our last breath, down here. We do so for Him, and Him alone.

No wonder destination weddings have taken the place of those at the altar of a house of worship….

If you should happen to be of the “old school” and committed on the altar of a house of worship in front of “witnesses” and the like—comprised of **family and friends.

When we utter the words, “forsaking all others”; it doesn’t only mean not giving any room for another person to intrude, manipulate, divert or destroy our marriage.

**Those darn intruders come in the form of a parent, sibling, friend, neighbor.

Forsaking all others at the altar of our marriage also means letting go of our own comforts so that we could bless our spouse and help the latter fulfill personal dreams and become more like Christ.

This is the hard test.

This is when the hard test is presented to us.

Our lives.

Most of us fail.

Because we and our ego take us on the continuous ego trip, trips along the trip of life.

Thinking we know better.

This is where He knows.

The frauds.

The fraudsters.

The intruders-du-jour.

The ones who get it done.

The ones who bull doze over another and pretend,

”It never happened.”

Yep.

Sh**happens.

We may spend endless hours, even years trying to right the wrong.

We stand on our heads, we lie, we cheat, we steal. At the end of the day, we forsake very little. Of ourselves, that is.

Fickle.

Wishy washy.

The attacker attacks.

We may react.

We become silent.

CANNOT UTTER THE WORDS.

Of fear.

Silence becomes our only tool.

Of survival.

Shut down.

And then.

The blow up.

Repetition given the opportunity, again and again. When in the room, the space, of an inflated ego, life becomes,

Suffocating.

Breathless. (Not in the good way).

Tears appear.

Tears take over.

To attempt to wash it all away.

The hurt.

The shame.

The whatever.

Worse off.

The pain is too deep. Has cut too deep. There is no coming back. No going back. No one has your back feeling of “whatsoever.”

Shared pain.

Is the only kind of pain that gets to the heart of the matter.

God knows our hearts.

And. He makes room and space for us in the space of inflated egos and inflationary ways.

Better yet, when we feel the need to jump, to leap over the stone wall. He reaches out His hand and helps us,

To get over it.🙏🏻🙂
