Step up.

Step back.

Step aside.

Step down.

Slip up.

Slip back.

Slip aside.

Slip down.

Perhaps.

Maybe. For a day. For an hour. For a minute. For a moment.

Put the green eyes away. The gut punch ouch. Stop insinuating. Guessing. Surmising. Projecting.

Take your whole self and put yourself in.

Slip into the shoes of another person.

No. I am sorry not the Cinderella story of Prince Charming and/or Al Bundy return your or lost shoe or glass slipper. Or a flip of the hair gesture of “rescue me.”

Sad, but true, It is a fact that the end of the day,

We really can only save ourselves.

If morality is something we aspire to inspire in ourselves and others.

Take others seriously for their own sake.

Not our own sake.

It may seem like a blob. Of unformed material. Unfinished💩🧮🪹🪨. Business.

Blobber the blabber. Blabber the blobber.

Take aim at the the blogger…..

Always your choice.

To be or not to be that is the question. There are relationships undeserving of the title.

The title of friendship.

Blobber the blob is patiently waiting. Here is a “tip”. English essayist Joseph Addison called, “confederacies in vice(🍺🍻🥃🥂🍷), or leagues of pleasure” (🍺🍻🥃🥂🍷)

Gulp. Sip. Slog. Slip.

Why?

Because mutual desires and selfishness can be the foundations of counterfeit friendship. In this day and age, when casual acquaintance often comes so easily, or too easily, and when intimacy comes too soon and too cheaply, we need,(wjb)

Need,

to be reminded that genuine friendships take time.

Take time.

Takes your time.

Takes another’s time.

And a ship load of trust. To keep it afloat. Your life. Their life. Wholeheartedly.

Choice of friends in life is crucial.

Crucial.

A genuine connection will follow you to the ends of the earth. When young, childhood friendships tell parents where their children are tending.(wjb)

Tending.

Tendencies.

Tending.

Jump ship?….

Why?

Because good friends bring you up.

Bad friends bring you down.

So. It matters.

Friends should be allies.

Allies of our better natures.

It is imperative, imperative to teach our children about counterfeit friendships. To know they are injurious, to realize they reinforce what is less than noble in us.

What is less than noble in us.

Having a friend is only half of the relationship.

Being a friend is often more important to our moral development. The active agent that brings another up.

To fulfill their potential.

To befriend a friendless or less fortunate mate can be profoundly maturing.

Profoundly maturing.

Adversity. Giving more than one receives. Incitement to a higher purpose. Blobber the Blob loves this. But. What does it look like?💩

Would you know it when you see it?

We see pleasure found in new friendships, comfort known in old ones, and pain suffered for the lost. From these experiences, if we listen hear and slip into another’s shoes, we develop a deeper connection to last our respective lifetimes. (wjb)

The funny thing is, that oftentimes through adversity comes the most solid of foundations. Make no mistake though, it is never or seldom a “slam dunk”, the “slam dunk” we skip off into the sunset thinking it is or may be.

Frenemies are the worst.

Blobber the blob has hidden within vulnerabilities he knows all to well exist. Waiting to be squished and squirted out. A friend who gives you the business too often is one to watch very closely.

very closely. it is sometimes said, “A friend is a present you give yourself”

Take that as you will, want or wish.

Fair weather friends and seasonal friends are two separate and distinct things. A friend is someone we want to be with.

Want to be with.

Frosty said it best.

Robert.

”I’m going out to clean the pasture spring;

I’ll only stop to rake the leaves away

(And wait to watch the water clear, I may):

I sh’n’t be gone long—You come too.

I’m going out to fetch the little calf

That’s standing by the mother, It’s so young,

It totters when she licks it with her tongue.

I sha’n’t be gone long—You come too”.

We want to be with.

Tendencies may come and tendencies may go.

A sacred trust is learned unselfishly, practiced wholeheartedly, given back unselfishly.

Friend.

I think I see Blobber taking on a shape. A sharp shape. A beautiful shape.

Picking the wrong friend can be disappointing, even disastrous. Cat and mouse. Cats and dogs.

The year of the car can be a dreadfully long time. A dreadfully long time. The frog and the snake can never play together. Why? Blobber has his own thoughts on that.

Blobber knows friendship is within reach but oh so difficult to touch sometimes.

The Human Touch

By S. M. Free

’Tis the human touch in this world that counts,

The touch of your hand and mind,

Which means far more to the fainting heart

Than she, tear is gone when the night is o’er,

And bread lasts only a day,

But the touch of the hand and the sound of the voice

Sing on in the soul alway.(wjb)

Alway.

Personal space notwithstanding. This, at the end of the day, or lives even tells a provocative story.

Of frienship.

The hows.

They whys.

The do’s.

The don’ts.

Why don’t we listen?

Blobber takes shape, and then blobber blobs up again. Will it ever be that he takes on the shape of pure and abiding regard?

I dunno.

It is up to you.

It is up to me.

Baby steps.

Giant steps.

Selfish giant steps?

A slip of the tongue.

A slip on the ice.

Or a moment.

Slipped inside the shoes of another to see, hear, touch, taste feel what a day in their life may be like. Friendship is a state that need to be honed. In constant repair. “We cannot tell the precise moment when friendship is formed”. As in filling a vessel drop by drop, there is at least a drop which makes it run over;

So. In a series of kindnesses there is at last one which makes the heart run over.

💩🤎❤️‍🩹💔❤️

✌🏻Peace out and blobber on.
