It was quiet.  Well… quieter. That was an important distinction. If it had been a question of sheer desire, Selena would have been well past the Canadian border, deep in a thicket where the only noise was her own breath and the rustle of pine needles in a brisk breeze. Most importantly, away from people. All people. But that required a different set of circumstances, along with a more suitable form…  And she couldn’t do that now. Especially now.
