Christian Happy Historical Fiction

That's the thing about this city, where people from different cities wants to come and visit Cebu City. There's a lot of things going around and the most over crowded place is the Colon Street. People do their businesses inside or outside the malls. It may be legal or illegal,the only reason is to survive. The biggest market where tons of sack full of vegetables, fruits and other stuffs are carried behind the backs of cargo boys from dump trucks and cargo trucks to its designated place to sell. The stalls of fruits, vegetables, fish and pork are visible to see, there's lot of products to choose while walking around the market. Asking for lower price of the product is negotiable than you think. "Ukay-ukay" is one of the clothing shop that sells cheaper clothes, a lot of clothes that you can choose that suits your pocket money. You can find it everwhere in colon street. Walking from carbon market to colon street is different way to experience and feel the warm breeze of the wind. Crowd's from different directions merge while waiting for the traffic light to turn green. Jeepneys honking to gather the attention of commuters who's busy using their mobile phones. A water boy shouting "Tubig! Tubig!!", everytime people cross the pedestrian lane. Vendors from sidewalks calling out customers and give them freebies everytime they buy something. As you walk passed by colon street, the old buildings and houses with its carvings from the late 80's and 90's you'll see. Some landmarks are destroyed due to the natural calamities occur. When the night comes, Cebu City displays night market where different kinds of streetfoods line up in sidewalks. Balut is the most fascinating food you'll ever eat. A pinch of salt and a drops of vinegar with chilli comes oozing out to you mouth as you take a sip. The aroma smell of freshly grilled fish and pork can make you hungry and wants to take a bite. Many kinds of seafood you might want to taste with its different sizes. Nothing more delicious in eating streetfoods. Seeing people's happy face as their lips curved widely while looking for something that they want to buy. The displays of different products is way more cheap and affordable for those who have low budget. You can even bargain if you're out budget. Looking for some place to stay is easy and not a problem there's a lot of hotels, motels and inns with it's cheap or finest price are scattered all around the city. Going somewhere in the city is more convient when you ride taxis, jeepneys and buses. Kalisa is also avaible for transportation in its designated place. Travelling is easy you don't even need tour guide, asking people for directions in the city will never be a problem, poeple will even accompany you to your destination or even give you a free ride. Taking experience in riding a jeepney is different way to experience commuting in a crowded transportation. Some passengers might be hanging in the back of the jeepney, you may find it dangerous but it's just how people ride especially in rush hours. You can even try hanging in the back of the jeepney, the feeling of fear and somehow excitement is different at all. In the city, you'll find Port San Pedro from spanish history to the modern, where museums are widely open for everyone. Old paintings, books, written works, sculptures, even swords, rifle gun and old houses are well preserved. Parks that has the trace of old civilization, near the sea and a cold wind blows that refreshen your face. The heat of the sun lingers to your skin as you walked around the park full of happy children running around. Where old trees still growing and old cannons are displayed. There's a place where "sungka" game is available to play inside the park, children or older ones can play this game. You may feel hungry and want something to eat and good thing is foods are everywhere, there's a lot to choose. Fancy restaurants you may find but eating in a small cafeteria and "karenderia" is another level of enjoying your food. You may visit different churches that is build in time of Spanish colonization. The art above the ceilings is very attractive ,there you can sort out the history of every piece of art inside the church. The shapes, forms and size of the sculptured saints is quite bizarre. Lighting a candle and offering a prayer, the devotion of every people you may encounter inside or outside church. Masses are celebrated every hour of the day. Religious life is the biggest part of every people in the city of Cebu. Every year this city always held the biggest celebration in the history. "Sinulog" a fiest that held every 3rd week of January. It takes place in the church of Sto. Niño by the Agustinian priests. Poeple from different races and places takes part to celebrate this blissful celebration. Different dances, beat and music you'll hear. It'll make you feel nostalgia. The enormous amount of people passing by the street of Osmeña to the street of colon is very difficult than what you think you can easily walked by. A lot of foodstalls can be found anywhere you turn around. Enjoying the beat of the drummers are street dancers perform and singing at the top of their lungs. A lot of teenagers put face paint on their faces and body paints on some part of their bodys. Liquors and beers are free until 12 midnight of the celebration. Attending such celebration is another way of taking part of praising and thanksgiving of all the abundance happened. The thing to this city is that life is not that easy and somehow difficult, it'll always have ups and downs but that's the natute of it. People may come and go but the thing is, the city will always be crowded just how it's should be.

You paint a good picture. But don't be afraid to put a central character in this who personally experiences this wonderful place... That's the thing about this city, where people from different nearby towns want to come and experience the vibrant life of Cebu City. Sheila headed out from her home for Colon Street, which is the most overcrowded and busiest place in town. When she arrived there, her senses were overwhelmed by the throngs of people buying and selling produce and other products, there's just too many things going on all around ...
