March 15,2020

Dear Diary,

2:50 am again. Third night in a row. I’ve tossed and turned to no avail. Sleep defies me, so I write.

My day was mundane. Work, groceries, made supper, had a bath. Played with my kitty cat Jax for a while. He likes to snuggle. In bed early to watch some YouTube. Haven’t watched regular programming for months now. Why do I even still have the channels??

Tried to go to sleep early, 10:00 pm. Laid awake until midnight. Now I’m up and have to officially get up in three hours for work. Ugh. Why am I not independently wealthy yet? Tomorrow night I’ll try to exercise a bit to see if that helps me to sleep.

The cute barber was working in the shop today. He’s so dreamy !!

Dear Diary,

2:53 am again. Fourth night in a row. I’ve tossed and turned to no avail. Sleep defies me, so I write.

My day was average. Work, groceries, did some exercising, made supper, had a shower. Played with my kitty cat Jax for a while. Snuggly boy he is. In bed early to watch some Netflix. Decided on a cheesy rom-com to cheer me up. Am I really going to die alone a crazy one cat lady? Some days it feels like it.

The exercise helped a little bit. I still woke up though ☹ I’ll try again tomorrow.

Ps.

The cute barber was in the deli today. He looked at me. I almost died inside of embarrassment!!! I was not prepared for him to look my way!

Dear Diary,

2:43 am again. Fifth night in a row. I’ve tossed and turned to no avail. Sleep defies me, so I write.

My day was good. Work, groceries, did some exercising, had takeout, had a shower. Played with my kitty cat Jax for a while.  In bed early to watch some Netflix. Decided on an action flick to cheer me up.

I’ve decided to exercise more, it felt good. One day I may join a gym, not yet but one day in the future. Dressed up cute today in case I went to the deli for lunch today. I did, it was delicious. The weather was nice today to walk there so I did.

Ps.

The cute barber was at work today, cutting some adorable kid’s hair. The kid’s mom didn’t seem very nice to him, but I wasn’t sure what was going on because she was also flirting with him.

I hope that’s not his gf. ☹

Dear Diary,

2:47 am again. Sixth night in a row. I’ve tossed and turned to no avail. Sleep defies me, so I write.

My day was great. Work, groceries, did some exercising, went for supper with a friend, had a bubble bath. Snuggled with my kitty cat Jax for a while.  In bed early to watch some BBC documentary on Meerkats.

Supper was delicious, I had the Lemon Salmon and a MaiTai.  Blueberry  Cheesecake for dessert. The restaurant was packed, being so new. Some guy sent drinks over so we invited him to sit with us. He was nice. Asked for our numbers. Said he would call. Took selfies with him for fun.

Ps. The cute barber was not at work today. I was sad. I look forward to that stellar smile of his every day.

Dear Diary,

2:42 am again. Seventh night in a row. I’ve tossed and turned to no avail. Sleep defies me, so I write.

My day was pretty great. Work, groceries, did some exercising, made a chef salad for supper, had a shower. Gave Jax kitty kisses.  In bed at 9:45 pm to watch “Little House on the Prairie”. I still like that show. I want a man as sweet and caring as Pa Ingalls one day.

I looked at some new workout clothes online. Added to cart but didn’t check out. Maybe on payday.

Ps. The cute barber was at work today!!! He was sitting in his chair and came to the window to look at something as I walked by. Wonder what he was looking at? I didn’t see anything exciting.

Pps. The guy from the restaurant didn’t call but that’s okay.

Dear Diary,

2:46 am again. Eighth night in a row. I’ve tossed and turned to no avail. Sleep defies me, so I write.

My day was great. Work, groceries, did some exercising, made a steak and potato for supper, had a bath, deep conditioned my hair. Gave Jax kitty snuggles. In bed at 10:00 pm to read my new romance novel. It’s about pirates falling in love and treasure of course!

Walked to the deli today. Passed the barber shop and the cute barber was cutting the guy from the restaurant’s hair! The restaurant guy waved at me, but I still haven’t heard from him. The cute barber had his back to me so I didn’t get to see his face.

Ps. At least I dressed cute today. The cute barber and his friend were looking at their phones when I walked back to work, wonder what was so interesting?

Dear Diary,

2:53 am again. Ninth night in a row. I’ve tossed and turned to no avail. Sleep defies me, so I write.

My day was awesome! Work, groceries, did some exercising, made chicken and rice for supper, had a bath and read my book while I did a face mask. Gave Jax kitty kisses and snuggles. In bed at 10:20 pm to scroll Instagram for new hair and makeup looks. I feel a change coming on!

There was a strange number that kept calling my phone last night, but I didn’t recognize it so I didn’t answer it. They didn’t leave a message either.

Ps. The cute barber waved at me today when I went to the deli for lunch! He was with a client but he waved!!! He has the nicest smile!

Pps. Its morning but I have to add this! I woke up to a text message from the cute barber!!!!omg!!!!!

It said “Hey, it’s the guy from the barber shop you walk past every day. My friend gave me your number, the guy from the restaurant the other night? Matt, remember him? He was in the other day and showed me the selfie you guys took. Anyway I asked for your number, I hope this is okay, but do you want to go out sometime?”

Of course I texted back YES!! He was the number that kept calling!!!

Dear Diary,

3:53 am again. Ninth night in a row. I’ve tossed and turned to no avail. Sleep defies me, so I write.

My day was amazing! Jake (the cute barber!) and I went for coffee and a walk along the lake this afternoon.  He’s really easy to talk to, just different than all the other men I have met. And smart!  He’s so smart and funny! Didn’t even laugh when I spilled ketchup on my white outfit (why did I wear white on a first date?) . We had so much fun we didn’t realize it was 1:00 am! He drove me to my place and we talked forever again (okay, we kissed a lot!)(but he’s a really good kisser!)

I’ll be seeing him tomorrow, I need some sleep , I just got home an hour ago.

 Its been a great day!!!!!!

Ps. Jake has the nicest brown eyes!!!! I cant wait to see them again!
