Dear Reedsy,

I've emailed you endless and endless times, however, you ignored it. I NEED you to reply, please. 

It's all about downvoting.

 "Oh, this is just a thing about downvoting, B-O-R-I-N-G!" 

And skip.

I know many people believe that only the downvote button shouldn't exist. But honestly, I think the upvote button shouldn't exist either. My logic is simple. Since many people here on reedsy have like a lot of friends, many newbies and even of reeders who are not well-known feel left out. Since the more famous Reeders have a bunch of points from friends upvoting them, many of us quit because of that feeling that they can't make friends. So instead of gaining points from not only stories but also friends, points should be earned purely on writing ability. A lot of people say

"Stop downvoting"

and

"The marshmallows are here to upvote people".

Even I've made the #STOPDOWNVOTING hashtag which I've seen in many peoples bios after I put it in mine.

But saying that doesn't mean you can go off and then ask people to upvote you. Many people have LITERALLY said that to people. "Please upvote me"

"I know a lot of people say this but upvote me?"

That's the part that gets me angry.

You might not agree and if you don't please don't attack me in the chat. I'm purely stating my opinion and saying that instead of one, both arrows should be abolished.

This is an important message, Reedsy.

This is unacceptable and the hard-worked points are gone-poof. This isn't a threat, but a lot of people are taking breaks from Reedsy.

This is a time when downvoters are striking the most-either from multiple accounts or just from teaming.

Sadly, the Marshmallows are practically gone. 

I wasn't here when all that happened, however, I suspect that that's the reason why Marshmallows were created; the cause of downvoters. 

I have just checked, and many of my friends were downvoted 5,000 points down. Literally. Want me to list a few? Sure! I'll gladly, but I bet that'll be the rest of the story.

As you can see, downvoting is making people feel...Hurtful. Perhaps it may sound stupid just to quit Reedsy just because of some stupid downvoters-well, it is. Wanna know why? 'Cuz your friends are just gonna be there and upvote you.

Reedsy, I doubt you'll ever see this message because...

1. You never respond to my emails. (I've emailed you multiple times about downvoting and Bridget Summers)

2. Your boss would never (probably) see this.

3. You'd let the downvoting button exist anyway even after everyone left Reedsy, huh?

All I'm applying is:

Remove the upvote AND downvote button.

Remove those arrows.
