Lines.
Spoken.
Written.
On our hearts.
On our faces☺️.
Logic tells us one thing.
Feelings may speak another.
Hearts and minds are not always in sync.
Wants and needs are not always in balance.
How to bring life back to the middle becomes a daily battle sometimes. A push and pull, a back and forth, a this or that. The stories of truths and lies we tell ourselves to “make it” through the day..
Spoken, verbalized to sway the other to our point of view.
We never, no never, must admit when we are wrong, lest we be looked at as weak.
Who has our back becomes a never ending mind loop of cognitive dissonance inside of our own heads. We can be our own worst enemy! When we speak the lies inside our own head.
Basically. Oftentimes.
It all comes down to
Trust.
Daily faith, too.
The two ebb and flow throughout most of our days, so that when we lay our heads down at night, we feel the healing power of Him.
The key.
Letting Him in.
To our minds.
To our hearts.
Balance Him respectfully with in the two.
He keeps telling us, although we do not always listen. He WANTS us to dwell in perfect peace. Really!
We, however, oftentimes think we know better and scoff. At the thought. We turn to many healing options. To mask the pain. Distracting ourselves from ourselves so we do not have to deal with ourselves.🙂
He wants to deal with us. Our faults. Our failings. He wants us to share the good, the bad, the ugly.
Why?
Because that is how we grow as a person. So we can extend our hand and hearts and help another heal.
After all, we are all just here, down here, borrowing this earth. We really oughta take care of it and each other. Even if, and when we would rather be doing something else—eating bon bons, watching sports, wasting precious times.
Heaven is a place to aspire to. Those who have gone before us really are watching down on us. Those we love live on in the memories in our minds
Yes. For some that may not be the best of the best. Memories.
For others, the memories are so worth re-living over and over.
When we come upon the roadblock, we have a choice.
Follow the rules.
Follow the law.
Follow the rule of law.
Know the rules so you know how to break them?
Depends on what you may want out of the deal, I suppose.
In your mind, swirling around, how do you approach a day you have been given?
A day, after all, is a gift.
From Him.
At the end of the day, what is
The best we can do?
Be kind to one another.
Create space for one another.
To figure out their path.
Their path of least resistance.
The path to best help another.
To find their path.
How?
Ask Him.
“Heavenly Father, Creator of the universe, Author of its laws, you can bring the dead back to life, and heal those who are sick. We pray for our sick brothers and sisters that they may feel Your hand upon them, renewing their bodies and refreshing their souls. Show them the affection in which You hold all Your creatures, and grant them an early recovery, in Jesus name, Amen.”
Why?
Man belongs to God.And. We are simply the stewards. To help Him. We are not slaves to earthly power. Our lives are imprinted by the image of God. (pf). No selfies in all the world have His kind of influence.☺️
We can click and bait until the cows come home. We are born in the image of God. And if by His grace throughout our lives, there we will remain.
But. It takes work. Good work. Hard work. Tools include patience, grace, forgiveness. That and avoidance of the traps that present along the way. We need to stay alert, even when we are so tired.
A daily life of faith. A faith in society. Social Justice— keeping the perspective of it all in a proper place. Proper balance.
It takes time.
It takes your time.
It takes my time.
To help another heal.
To help ourselves heal,too.
The traps. Are everywhere. Everyday.
Succumb to them today and tomorrow may become more difficult that it has to be. We, as humans fail. He as the Holy Father is there, not to laugh at us. To pick us up. Foster us to try again. To do good.Be better
He watches down on us. But he does not look down on us.
A story of how to stay strong:
What are the conditions under which it is desirable for Christians to submit to earthly authority? Even Jesus had to avoid the traps. He was presented with hostile questioners who wanted him to take a stand on whether Jews should or should not pay taxes to the Roman authorities.
Some say the questioners were “spies” sent by teachers of the law and the chief priests. They tried flattery with Jesus, praising his integrity, impartiality, devotion to truth.
Provocative questioning, asking Jesus, “ Should we pay or shouldn’t we?
Jesus called them hypocrites. He asked them to produce a coin. He asked whose head was on the coin. And replied,” Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s and unto God things that are God’s.
Jesus was fair. He was unable to be trapped. By the hard questions. By the hypocrisy. He resisted the trap of falling in with the wrong crowd of deception and intimidation.
The Holy Spirit, through His son, teaches us daily faith to be strong.Be strong leaders of daily faith in His word. Learn and relearn to trust again.
That way. We are our best selves for ourselves and to give of our best selves for others.
A “Win-Win!
Every day is a gift.
His mercies are new every day.
Generosity can be contagious!
He teaches us this in the image of God the Father.
Take it—the opportunity—to give of His shared grace and share it with others.
