The surprise

For most people today is an ordinary day.

But life reserve a complete different plan for Charly.It was around five that morning when Charly opened is eyes,he was unable to sleep,probably due to the fact that is lover Jason told him he had a big surprise for him at exactly height that night.Lime every morning Charly needed is coffee to start the day.He was always moody when didn't have one.He sat at is table looking through the window of is small apartment.It was still dark out there, but he could see the lights of the town from up there.The fresh air was getting in by the open window and the breeze was great.The last four days had been very hot and having a little cold felt good.Charly knew that day was bound to be perfect.After is coffee he ran into the bathroom to take a cold shower.He took of is boxer and took a blue towel on the tablet,and smiled.Jason loved that towel,Charly just count stop himself,he took a big sniff of the towel.imagining the smell of his lover.Then he went into the shower thinking about what could be the surprise.He had so many versions of a surprise,a new job,moving together,going on vacation together for the first time,getting a new car maybe.He lost around an hour thinking in the shower.but he still had to go get a suite,sinse Jason gave him a date into a really fancy restaurant.Charly surely didn't want to disappoint him.He turned off the shower and dried himself then left the bathroom into is Adams suit and went into is bedroom choose something comfortable to go shopping.them he put is shoes on amt took is wallet.He close the door and look for is key inside is pocket but since he always forgets them he couldn't find them.he looks inside is apartment and found them on the kitchen counter.Finaly he locked is door and left for the bus station.The sun was up and the day was already warm,but the small breeze was making the day very comfortable.On is way to the bus station he met is mother best friend.she stopped him and asked about is mother.Sinse Charly is well raised he took time to answer her question before saying good day and got back to is plan.But sometime be nice get your plan messed up.When he got close to the station,he saw the bus leaving without him.He knew that even if he tried to run the bus would still be gone.so he walked slowly to the bus station.Charly sat inside the station, and then he started to feel wear,and then realize he forgot to eat.Sinse is bus was gone and the next one would be there only in an hour,he decided to go get something to eat at is favorite breakfast restaurant near the station.There he sat alone at a table and read the newspaper.He took another coffee and hate some eggs with bacon and a toast.it was delicious like usual.But the time pass by again and wiled he was waiting for the cashier to pay is bill,he realized he missed the bus again.But you have to know that Charly is always a positive guy.No matter what life bring he finds good in it.so he decided that after a great breakfast like this he would simply walk there.it was a two hours walk to get there, but he would be there around then,so he would have enough time to go shopping ,get back home and go to the restaurant Jason invited him.No big deal for mister positive.Even with the warm sun ,Charly found that this walk was very refreshing.He was used to walking when he was living with is parents at the farm.Even though he moved in town,Charly never stopped walking,he was always saying that a good walk give you time to think and take the good decision.When he finally got to the mall it was then fifteen.He walked straight to the Suit shop and started to look for the perfect outfit.A really nice old man came to help him find the suit that would make him handsome and respectable.After forty-five minutes he finally found the right one.a very nice black suit with a blue shirt and a royal blue tie.Then he chooses some black shoes to finish is outfit.The old men wished him good luck and Charly left the shop for the hairdresser shop.He needed to look perfect.the lady cut is hair a little shorter in the back but kept them to is ear in the front.She told him that it made is green eyes look bigger that way.Charly loved the haircut and gave her a good tips.Even though he wasn't rich Charly always gave a good tips when the job was done with such respect.Then he realizes it was almost one already, so he decided to get dinner before getting back home to change.He didn't want to eat something to heavy, so he would still be hungry for is date.He hates a sandwich at the Tim Horton and left just in time to catch the bus.Wiled he was siting in there.Charly was thinking about how much he loved Jason.They met two years ago when Charly moved in town.you see Charly didn't have any friends or family here in town.He felt lonely all the time,until he saw a paper about a reading group.He called to get a place in the next meeting and when he got there he saw him.A young,handsome men with pale blond hair and dark brown eyes.His skin soft and white like the snow.He wasn't skinny, but he wasn't buff either.He was just perfect.And for Jason it was the same.The moment they laid eyes on each other they knew they were meant to be together.After that day they spent many days together talking about everything.they stopped going to the meetings and started they own group with other people just like them.Then one day it just happened.Wiled Jason was at Charly's place to talk about their next meeting and drink a coffee,they just looked into each other eyes and kissed for the first time.After this they kissed many other times.Then one day,wilednthey where walking downtown to go to their favorite used book shop,they met one of Jason school friend and Jason present Charly as is boyfriend.Charly remembered that at that exact moment is hearth was beating so fast, and he felt butterflies inside is stomach.They were officially a couple.When the bus driver announced to everyone that the where at the last stop,Charly came out of is thoughts.it was around tree when Charly got inside is apartment.He took an ice coffee and relaxed until five.Then he started to get ready.He made sure to put some perfume and cream is face.he put is shirt and suit on ,then fixed is hair and fought a little to get is tie the right way.When he got finally ready it was already six-thirty.He called a taxi and left for the restaurant.He would be there just in time.Charly started to feel nervous.He was hoping for a vacation with Jason,because Jason and him worked very hard for the last year and Jason had to work some.night shift at is job to get enough money to buy a new car,so they didn't see each other that much for the last two months.Vharly never felt that happy in is entire life.No one never made a surprise for him,because Charly never had a real relationship before Jason.He was always getting with the gay guy who refuse to assume himself and hide from everybody.So Charly always end up they're dirty secrets.But not with Jason.Jason wasn't ashamed of who he was,he never tried to hide they're relationship,he never made him feel like shit,or never hurt him.He was always truthful with Charly.And Charly loved to know someone loved him that much with such respect.With Jason, he always felt important and peaceful.at that point Charly thought that nothing could ever make him sad.He would never have guess how wrong he was at that moment.Few street ahead a man passed out into is truck after being forced to work overnight after six day in roll of work during a heat wave.Is truck finished is way into a blue car few meters down the street. Charly left the taxi to walk because of the traffic due to the accident ahead.He walked straight to the restaurant thinking that he hated accident and was hoping not to see blood.He could see the restaurant door and even though he tried not to look into the accident direction,he took a small peak and froze in place. Is hearth felt like braking,is legs got weak,the butterflies became a volcano exploding inside him.He dropped is wallet on the sidewalk and felt on the ground.He couldn't held the scream about to burst out of is mouth.He screamed and cried all the tears inside him.He could see the blood all over the car windows.The blue car was crushed,Jason blue car was crushed.Something died inside him and all he could think was that he wished to be dead.Nothing in the world hurt more than realising that the one you love is gone.that the last time you kissed them,you smiled to them,you touch them would be the very last time you'll see them.Then you start thinking that you should have say something more meaningful to them,instead of the usual thing to say.And that you should have spent a perfect day doing special thing before saying goodbye.But no mater how much you can think about this thing nothing would change anything.When the police came to Charly,it took him few seconds to realize they were talking to him.Then he told them still in tears that he had a date with him and was supposed to meet him here.The officer took Charly to the ambulance. And wiled they were getting there Charly felt weak again and felt on the ground.He felt is new pants rip off on the sidewalk but nothing came to is mind.The paramedic came to help the officer to get him into the ambulance.The paramedic realized Charly was in shock.They gave him some water and tried to calm him,but nothing can calm a broken hearth.when Charly saw the other paramedic taking Jason body into the other ambulance inside a cold dark bag,he screamed and then burst in tears again.Everything got so confusing at that point.When you live something like this the time goes just like when you are half awake and half asleep.Your body feel just the way it feels when you didn't sleep for days and your body is trying to shut down.every movement is blurry and jerky.They took him at the hospital because they were worried about him.Charly called his mother and asked her to come down to be with him.She left right away but still had four hours to drive there.A police officer came to Charly and told him that they found something into the car for him.He gave him a letter with a GIF box.Charly's and were shaking,he breathes was short and is heart was pounding like a drum about to burst.He hardly unfolds the letter and started to read.

Charly you are my one and only,ypu are my breath,my love,my everything.before I met you I had lost hope into truth love.I've got broken many times but since I laid my eyes on you for the first time I knew you where the one so opened this box and tell me......

Charly's tears were falling all over the letter.the paper was cover of wet spot.then he put the letter on is lap and opened the gift box.inside it was a beautiful gold wedding ring .and just behind the ring was written.Charly would you marry me.

That date was a proposal date.the date Charly waited for so long.But it would never be the day is dream came truth,but the day is nightmare took form.
