You’ll never be content. (Peace-filled)

Or.

You’ll never be content. (Pod-cast filled)

The ambiguity of one of today’s prompt prompts me to: Pause.

It is important to know the difference. Deliberately deliberating for delay. Is a form of bias. We all have bias. But we are not all guilty for acting on our personal bias. To a point, the playing field becomes a battle field. But why do we not give each other the benefit of the doubt.

Procrastination du jour. Get the deal done. Like yesterday? Whatever it takes. Caught with your pants down? Takes on a whole new meaning. Yes. And. No. Doubting Thomases may disagree.

Beyond a reasonable doubt? Reason stresses consecutive logical thinking. To cogitate is a whole different kind of thinking. Deep or intent thinking.

More time? Maybe. Just a second, even a minute, so the kids can play catch up? To reason. Reasonable doubt. Not having to compromise with their own lives on a regular basis. No one prefers to play catch up. And hey, regular sounds pretty awesome right now.

But we do a disservice by continuing to deliberately deliberate the deliberations in the interest of justice. Violence or non-violence are actions that are two sides of the same coin. It either is. Or it is not. Violent. Breaking a rule. Breaking a law. The young kids are patiently waiting for someone to stand up. However.

Justice calls for Facts.

Young kids get the benefit of the doubt. They are young. They are rebels. They are allowed to test the waters in the spirit of safety. Consequences need to occur so lessons can have impact. But when is it accceptable for the adult to pass the buck, look the other way, “forget about it.”, “I got you”.

Never. But it does happen.

The free for all continues on. Watered down only dilutes and procrastinates. And if we are honest with ourselves, None of us are, collectively or individually all that and a bag of chips.

And unless we answer the call. Justice’s call for the facts. We are bound for purgatorial confusion of “He said”, “She said”. Or as the current times require “Him said”. “Her said”.

Old ideals. At least in the interest and consideration of giving the younger generation benefit of the doubt. That they are in not such a hurry, such a race to a top they will not be able to handle because the troubled middle dropped a ball that was whipped right at their faces. Hit ‘em right between the eyes on the way down. While the “higher ups” cashed in and the career-home-seekers lived on the streets where the streets have no names.

It is often said: You don’t know what you don’t know, or that ignorance is bliss. Those silly trite phrases of excuses, so called unawareness, ignorance.

Enforce the rules and watering them down to a point the younger generation is drowning in the content and contentment of a life contest of selfies, likes, compliments before even a word is spoken? Allowing personal egos grown so large and of their own making. Forced to argue an argument they are not equipped to argue. And possibly short change themselves in the process.

We robbed the faith right out of the the younger generation that they CAN handle the future and pass it on.

Right along with a “virus”, man-made or “organic” the only monster that erupted was the Bias Monster. A strong bias against “Her”, A bias in “favor” of “He/Him”. Worst of all the:

Unconscious Bias. Bias that the person with the bias is not aware of. Huh?

The Bias that can influence decisions in recruitment, promotion, and performance management.

Let that last phrase stew for a bit. “Performance Management”

I shudder. Hbu?

A deliberate exaggeration?

A deliberate act of protest?

A deliberate act of desperation?

A deliberate attempt to de-liberate?

As in deny you your freedom?

I shudder. Hbu?

Rules and Laws are really boundaries. Good boundaries help. Character building.

Characterized by awareness of the consequences. Allow me to cogitate.

Tolstoy did just that. Cogitate. With out the smartest of devices. Just a mind, and thoughts and purposeful deliberation. Tolstoy shared his intellect. His property. His intellectual property. Was he smart? Witty? What was his goal? Did he have a goal?

Outsmart? Out-wit? What is your goal?

In “How to Outsmart Aristotle” And 34 Other Really Interesting Uses of Philosophy by Peter Cave, he discusses the “Slippery Slopes” or Thin Edge of Wedges. (No kids, not wedgies).

In matter of Ethics and Laws: The worry is that of moving from something that is good, or at least overall possesses acceptable features, to something that is bad and certainly unacceptable.

Does this include content selfies? Just wondering. As something that “possesses” acceptable features. Or are talking about: Bias.

Just wondering.

Selfies one is content with blasting out there……in the hopes of wonderment social acceptance…A personal creation. A memory to be savored or a memory to be saved. Or shared. Why?

In olden times , the picture complemented the story. Today, the picture is intended as a compliment—provided it is pleasing to the eyes, I guess. It IS the story. Becomes the story and oftentimes ambiguously driving the narrative. It may get you in the door.

Slippery indeed.

But. Then what? Can it or you stand the test of time. The slipperiness of those slopes. Probably not.

Justice calls for the facts. Did you answer the call? What is YOUR story. Anyway.

One selfie does not a story make. Photoshopping was create for us all to look marvelous. Discerning the content of one’s character is virtually impossible. It just is.

Standing the test of time is. More difficult. Sometimes impossible.

There are no shortcuts.

Gotcha. Level playing field there. Or did you even notice. The question becomes not that you marched right up there and asked for it, it was were you frogmarched there and were unaware of how you got there.

But missing the bigger picture does not allow us to miss the bigger picture. When fighting it helps to know what one is fighting for. Or at least appropriately up against. And hitting below the belt is never good, never fair. And

Ouch.

If anything did, the virus masking proved the deliberate deliberation of this point. Is that why no one wants a Voter ID to vote? Just wondering…

Or has plastic just gotten too expensive….Harummmmmph. Fillers and all the implants designed to make us feel better and different about our differences, our selves. May I very very briefly call attention to the medical movement currently occurring inside our youth heads promoting lack of self acceptance.???

Dollar diplomacy? Sickening. At its best. Cruelty. At its worst. Should have ceased a long time ago. Thankfully, the moral majority is still alive.

Thank goodness.
