One week ago today, we were all, pretty much frozen in the moment. Frozen in time. Frozen with fear.

Was it was a dream? In reality, it was a nightmare.

After all. He looks seriously, very seriously at those who can carry the message with grace, honor and strength.

We all waited, with a bated breath of heart, to see if he was ok. A loud, frightening bullet of truth passed before our very eyes. Of good and evil.

Only God knows.

When it is our time. To go.

By God’s grace, and His grace alone, the one man who took the hit, gathered himself, and

Stood up.

In more ways than just one.

In the moment He showered down on us a moment of loud and on point message. Clearly. The monster missed. The point.

Thank God. Thank goodness.

Blink. And you would have missed it. Yes. The opportunity.

To believe.

Or.

Not.

What?

You wonder.

That grace DID shower down on us all in the moment of frozen terror. The moment occurred on a beautiful sun drenched day of unity building. In the frozen moment of terror, one could have heard a pin drop and it would have been heard.

Loud and Clear.

One brave man took the hit. For his country. In one particular moment this man realized he was and is the ultimate messenger.

Of God. And he stood back up for his country, raised a fist in the air and said,

“Fight, Fight, Fight.”

Awesome.

Leadership.

In the moment,

He. Tested us. He. Tested him. To see if he would stand back up for Him.

God peaked down to see if all were ok. God spoke loud and clear that he entrusted this man to be the messenger point forward.

You see. Even God had had enough—of the fighting, bickering, grandstanding. He peaked down to see if all were ok. In that moment when he called one man home to be with Him. A father. Who was protecting his family, he brought up a consultant to inform Him of his things and how they were going on the ground.

Not very well. At this time.

So, God tested all of us. That day. He was testing who can carry us forward with the resolve that He alone puts in our hearts of strength— sometimes through fear.

To see, too, if we can stand the test of time. The time He so graciously gave to us through His son, Jesus.

Clearly. No one man is God. No one human man is God. To say one is “God” is both idiotic and cruel. Spits right on the face of faith with venom.

That frightening day, we collectively found an answer. Some may call it a clue.

Wake up.

Or.

Woke down.

No one human plays God. To think one can our should is both idiotic and cruel.

While we stared breathlessly, the what ifs and oh my Gods flashed across our minds with the most awful of fears.

When a fighter goes down and gets back up. Accepts the fight on our behalf, we had better straighten up. And,

Now.

When the injured man stood up, he both accepted God’s grace to be messenger and fighter of all that is to be good. For his family. For his country. For us.

Our choices?

A re-boot of our own consciences, minds, hearts and motivations. Humbling ourselves enough to let our own arrogance go and allow Him to step in.

Yes. God stepped in. God did not step back.

In the frozen moment of fear, He chose a messenger of great strength and honor to continue the fight. God stepped in, if only for a fleeting millisecond. (pd)

He implores us to examine our own selves and our own reasons of standing. Standing the test of time. Standing up in the face of great fear, disappointment. He does not want us to forget. A frozen moment in time. But to turn fear into grace and use our hands for good. Our feet for walking the walk. Following the ways of goodness.

He wants our hearts to continue to beat with the fervor of Him. We are graciously given a new day, every day. The father who died that frightful day was called home to be with Him. That father must have checked all the boxes for consultant to the most High!!!

Thank God for those who go before us. He tells us to “Be not afraid. I go before you always, come follow me. And I will give you rest.”

Even in our most exhausting moments, of fear, of doubt, of not wanting to fight anymore, He gives us the right amount of time.

How beautiful is that!! To waste our time on mean spiritedness and oneupmanship is both a hapless game of checkers and/or chess games at playing God.

He doesn’t like when we play God. Ever. He gives us time to think about right and wrong. We have the choice to use our time here wisely.

No one human beats Father Time.

Wake up.

Or.

Woke down.

God only knows. The plan for us. Through tears, fears, anger, and strife we all trip. Fall all over ourselves even. Until we remember.

Those brave men and women who went before us. Some, too soon. Some carrying pain beyond human measure.

The task at hand? Far from over. A call to unity has been answered. We are now the messengers of Him.

A man stood up to lead the charge. To lead us away from the back biting and hurtful. Everyone is now watching. When the man stood up and answered God’s call that frightening day only one week ago, God also peaked into our hearts. Imploring us to stop the cruel and unusual punishment of one another.

And.

Get to work.

The serious work.

Of rebuilding a broken way of life.

There are no pleas to believe.

You still have the choice. Here on the soils of this great land, we have the freedom to choose how to think.

He watches our hand-o-meter with the gestures of our hand filled messages. That frightening, scary day, when our newly appointed brave messenger stood back up, He made a fist for us all.

For us all.

For the so called enemy who has lost their way. God spoke through him that scary day, too. Whether or not the enemy chooses to answer the call is still up to him and his plan. God has a plan for every one of us.

I, for one, plan to proceed cautiously and carefully in His stead. With steadfast resolve that there are differences in love, and in hate. Be seriously mindful and aware when I stray the wrong way.

We are stronger together. Division puts us too far and wide. Perhaps. That is his plan—the enemy, the devil, the venom spewing.

But.

It is not God’s plan.
