Beyond a shadow of doubt.
Not everything all the time, always, every time, constantly, assuredly, enduringly, determinately, eternally, everlastingly, assuredly, lastly, permanently, definitely is,
open to interpretation.
Life can, put very simply, be rather innumerable, incalculable.
Now.
I am not suggesting throwing away the “swear” jar. ☺️ Not at all.
Nor. Am I recommending the penny jar is an invaluable piece of glass.🍷
We spend countless hours. Countless. Hours. Counting. Or. Accounting for the ways and means. What do we mean? How do we mean. Oh, the things we try and convince ourselves of. Or not of.
Keeping score.
Not a swell way to live.
Expressive language.
Loudly? Softly? Flailingly?
Possessed.
Or.
Re-possessed.
I, for one, will offer my self-interpretation. For what it may be worth. I think my Halloween spirit has come and gone and I was left possessed. 🙂
In reality, if we are honest with ourselves and others, we spend the time we want to spend the way we spend it. With who or whom.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
Hopefully. It is a “peace pipe.”
We spend countless.
Countless hours. Diversion. Baby. Diversion. Bob and weave. Weave and bob. The real thing, to pay attention to is that which is NOT happening. In an effort to align ourselves with things we don’t like about ourselves. We hedge. We may even burn the bridge. How ‘bout that!
We CAN be our own worst enemy.
Egads.
We spend countless hours valuing this or that, we forget to
Step back.
Step aside.
And wait for one another.
Value who and what is right in front of us.
We all are “worth” waiting for.
Really.
Even all the curmudgeons🤢😉
Especially. As we enter the “holiday” season. Which is fastly and ghastly approaching for some. Dreaded by others. Causing annoying delay, interference with the activity of progress. Can really turn one’s undies in a bungee.😁
And if by the grace of God, you do progress, to the next phase, of this kooky thing called life.
No one wants to be the one left behind.
No shagging allowed.
No bagging allowed.
No bragging allowed.
Jeremiah 9:24
”The wise must not brag about their wisdom. The strong must not brag about their strength. The rich must not brag about their money. But if someone wants to brag, let him brag that he understands and knows me.🙏🏻
Before you get all excited and “boast-ey”. Consider this: The sentence before 23 says, “This is what the Lord says: The dead bodies of people will lie in the open field like dung. They will lie like grain a farmer has cut, but there will be no one to gather them.
(For those of you unfamiliar with all potty talk, “dung” is 💩.)
So.
No bragging rights.
No fudging the golf score😉
Obedience.
To the higher power.
That is why we are here.
That is where the power is.
Quit.
Following His teachings.
And the price will be hefty.
Very hefty.
Of and for desire for a life well lived.
For somebody other than yourself.
Personal connection. A love that is seldom ever spoken.
We can all do a little bit more.(cr)
For one another.
But what may be good for the goose is not good for the gander. Creature comforts vary.
According to the creature🙂.
An obtuse individual may not get it either organically, realistically, or the like.
On the other hand.
They may get it just fine.
And have other “plans.”
Obtuse suggests a refusal to see something apparent to others, or a willful ignorance or insensitivity to the real facts of the situation.(wk)
Wouldn’t you agree an accountant would actuarilly agree with NOT fudging the facts.
Just wonderin’.
Obtuse is my middle name. Dense. Dim. Dull. Dumb. Stupid.
I don’t play well with others.
The human kind anyway.
I prefer the attainment, at the proper time of course, of attaining a higher consciousness, someday soon. Or maybe not so soon. I am not inclined to obtruse the meaning of life that the actual big guy in the sky has for me. To learn.
On this earthly earth many vices, temptations come along to test our desires, our mettle. For comforts. Creature and otherwise.
All sorts of “comforts.”
If, and when we hit the point of no return. Comfortable with our self is and may be the most important goal of them all. Can be closely related to the who and whom we run away with to avoid the who or whom we are running from.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
Hopefully, it is a “peace pipe.”
The amusement comes in the human way we attempt to dance around the subject. Uncomfortable subjects. Yuck ones to have to discuss aloud. Saying the actual words.
The risk and the reward lies in the manifestation of the essence. The dependency.
To choose or not to choose.
That is the question.
What is the answer.
I dunno. For you.
I do know for me.
Creature comforts.
Lower self-conscious: The lower self-conscious is “the animal part of man-kind.” Give a dog a soft and cushy bed and they will thank you with wonderment and loving eyes. They will never question your motives.
What is, “The animal part of mankind.” Hunger, thirst,
pain, pleasure, as well as basic drives and pleasures.
O.k.
Give a dog H2O.
Give a dog a bone.
Give a dog a toy.
Give a dog a walk.
They are your friend for life.
Not so for humans.
Warning:
Caution: If humans honestly aspire for something more. It is not a straight line, a rocket launch from here to there. Usery and abusery is actual “stuff.” To sift through the ornery mess of it all.
It takes time.
It takes your time.
It takes my time.
Higher consciousness. Not for the faint hearted. The weary. Those who “fake it til you make it.”
A theologian, Dawn DeVries surmised that higher consciousness is, “the part of the human being that is capable of transcending animal instincts.” The essence of a person.
Ok.
In the Bible, it explained Paul’s struggle of the spirit to overcome the flesh, or the distinction between the natural and the spiritual side of human beings.
Some folks stay walled in. “A wider self walled in by the habits of ego-consciousness.”
Do you have experience with some folks of this nature?
Thought provoking and potentially mind-numbing at the same time.
I know.
It’s tough.
Never.
Quit.
The higher self is worth the pain, the pleasure and anything obtrusively, obtusely in between.
