That's how it started !

She woke up with a blurry vision and noticed that it was Saturday. It took her less than a minute to register that, this was it. This was the day when she finally gets to meet him. She still had to make a decision.

She thought of the day when he had proposed to her and had asked her to be his wife. They were on a date at her favourite restaurant. The restaurant was awfully quiet. He had booked the whole place for that night. He had made sure that the whole place was decorated with lilies and had a wedding theme. The manager of the restaurant greeted them at the door and escorted them to their table. She was completely surprised and excited looking at the preparation. They ordered food and had a romantic evening. They decided to have a walk by the river nearby. While walking to the river he held her hand and kissed her on the forehead. By the time they reached the river a small group was waiting for them to arrive. It was a beautiful evening filled with stars in the sky. The group of people started playing her favourite song and he asked her to dance with him. She was amazed and agreed to dance with him under the stars on a beautiful song played in the background. This was her dream since she was a little girl. He made her dream turn into reality. They started dancing on her favourite song, "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran. As the song ended she gave him a slight kiss on his cheek and wished time to stop and they would be in that very moment.

All of sudden he was on his knees and had a beautiful ring in his hand. He looked in her eyes and said, I am very fortunate to have you in my life, you have been with me through thick and thin. You know me more than anyone else on this earth. It takes a thousand ages to have a partner like you, you are very special and I knew it the moment I saw you. We met 5 years back at this very place at a function and I knew that you are the girl of my dreams. Nothing makes me happy more than you. You complete me. I want to dance all my dances with you, eat all our favourite dishes with you and sing all our favourite songs for you. I wouldn't have found love if it weren't for you. I want us to be Together Forever. Will you give me the privilege to be your husband? 

She had tears in her eyes when she asked him to stand up. She was startled by his actions and she didn't have any words to answer his question. Gathering every ounce of strength that she had she managed to answer his question. She said," I didn't expect this would happen so soon. I don't know what to say to you, I need some time. I love you from all my heart, but there are a lot of things I need to take into account before answering your proposal. I am sorry I need to think about this and I hope you will understand.  

 He felt shattered yet he appreciated her honesty. He dropped her off and kept thinking about everything that had just happened. Days went by without them talking about the proposal. He strictly tried to avoid that topic in their conversations. Eventually, he had a work thing and had to leave for Australia for 6 months. The separation and her silence killed him from inside. He was waiting for her to answer his question.

The day when he was about to leave for the airport she had accompanied him with his parents and with a heavy heart bid him goodbye. Days passed and the only thing that was running in her head was their last conversation at the airport. While he was leaving, he had given her an ultimatum to give her an answer until he gets back to India. That would be her last chance otherwise he would forget everything and have a new beginning to his life.

She came back to reality and realized that she was late to reach the airport. She hurried and left for the airport. She was waiting at the airport for the plane to arrive. She was anxious to see him. She had waited 6 months for this very moment and had imagined it a thousand times in her head yet everything felt new. She was nervous and felt a little dizzy. As soon as the plane arrived she had second thoughts about being there and just the moment when she was about to leave, there he was, the man of her dreams.

He called her name and her heart skipped a beat. She knew that feeling and when she turned around, she saw him, her best friend, her soulmate. Her eyes were filled with tears, she hugged him. There was a lot she wanted to say to him but no words would have done justice to the feelings she had. As they were headed towards her car, she felt like she was having a dream.

 She was there to drop him off at his parent's place. As they were driving, she knew that she had very little time and she had to kiss him to let him know that she was ready to be his wife. Earlier that month, they had made a deal if she kissed him the day he arrived that meant she had said yes to his proposal. His house was one signal away and they could see a green light. She wanted to kiss him before she dropped him so that he would tell his parents the great news as soon as he arrived. She knew this was her last chance to live the dream of her life. She wished and prayed to turn the light red so that she would kiss him and soon be his wife. She was about to be at the signal when the light turned red. She kissed him and that is how it all started.
