It was really and truly happening!

Today, in 6 hours time would be tomorrow.

Concentration, desperation and determination have made me continue my master plan, that would surely become an immediate and major success. I was desperately adding a couple of finishing touches to my work, desperately, desperately. Cold sweat trickled down my face, as I worked my quickest and hardest to ensure nothing would fail. I urgently encouraged myself to try harder, to so perhaps win the title of best trickster in the world. True, many of my other pranks have failed, to say, miserably. But, after thorough planning and a year of hard work, this April Fool's prank would most certainly go down to history. Tomorrow.

With now only 5 hours left, I had to hurry. I urgently, quickly and swiftly added buckets and buckets of slime to the mixture, with mountains of orange juice. I squirted out every last bit of shampoo in the house. I was making an entire day full of mischief. I swapped out all the towels in the house for dresses, I created live, spider cereal. My unlucky victims were in for a treat. While making the mayhem, I daydreamed about the laughs I would have, the fun I would experience. What a day, what a day! Just imagine all the mess I would be creating! At last, might I finally get my sweet revenge. Dear old brother, how do you like your new dress? Good day family, does the house not look wonderful colored in a bright shade of pink? Ah, my best friends, do you not want a sip of my Mountain Dew drink? I could sense their fear of tomorrow; it's just a pity for them I knew their weaknesses. The finest brew, a witch's blue. It all must go to plan! For the fourth time, I checked everything to make sure it was one hundred percent going to work. Tomorrow was the day, my day of many jokes.

4 hours, 30 minutes. Yikes! Time was not on my side, I was fighting a losing battle. With much effort, my movements were flying with intense speed, urgently wanting to finish adding last minute touches before bedtime. I was working at the speed of light. Mixing, slicing, heating, cooling, would it ever be done in time? My mind was dizzy from how fast I was working, but I must have all this done in time. I must! If only I had the power to control time or learn the ability to stop it. I had to try even harder than before. All must not be lost.

For the past year, I have worked tirelessly to ensure everything would go to plan. Since a very young age, I have always admired master tricksters, watched them pull off magnificent jokes and clever pranks. My first memory of this happening right in front of my eyes was when at the youthful age of 5, I saw two teenage boys pull of the hand in the water trick on a sleeping man. I stared at them with fascination and applause. After seeing many other jokes in action, I knew it would be my destiny to create one some day. Every spare hour of the day was spent on preparing for tomorrow; the tomorrow that would me famous.

After remembering that fond memory, I immediately returned to work once more. Suddenly, I heard the loud thumping of adult footsteps becoming louder and louder. My parents! Oh dear, oh dear! I hurriedly added some finishing touches, hid everything away and jumped into bed with a tremendous leap. My bedroom door creaked open, and shut once more. It would be unsafe to perform any more adjustments on my work in the time being, so I lay pointlessly in bed, quietly.

Night was awake, as was I. Very soon, very soon, it would happen. My heart felt the presence of triumphant emotion. It was a great victory to even have created this prank. Several times I reminded myself that it would be a successful trick, but might it be? What if something went wrong? What if I have forgotten something? What if this, what if that! A thousand ' what if ' questions surrounded my mind. If I have left out one, tiny thing, all would be lost, and it would blow the entire operation!

"Do not worry. You must stay relaxed in order to perform the trick without any errors,"

I gave a small sigh of relief at the realization; 4 hours was still long to wait. Silence crept past beds and beds of sleeping children in the neighborhood, and at that moment, how I wished to be in dreamland! Rustling of trees, its long, flexible branches swayed gently, gently. A massive streak of moonlight slashed my weary face. A soft breeze danced across my face. Stars were scattered all over the night sky. Tonight was peaceful, and I must not interrupt this calm night with my worrying. I imagined the triumphant feeling when my trick succeeded, then I was falling... falling... asleep. It would only be tomorrow, to test out my huge prank.

The first of April, the prank day. I was greeted by a dazzling sun and singing birds; a symbol of today's victory. The sky was beautifully dressed in a dazzling, light blue. Stars of the night were replaced by soft, white, floating cotton candy. The wonderous, golden dawn dazzled my eyes as I rushed to prepare everything for today. Would it work? Might it work? Would it work? Might it work? Would it work? Might it work? Only 15 minutes to go. The only thing left to do, was to wait silently.

After one year, it was now finally ready. With a mixture of orange juice, glue, cement, fabric, feathers and heaps of determination, this April Fool's joke would be the most gigantic and amazing one there is. Today was it. Today was my yesterday's tomorrow. My prank was ready. And I knew it would be unexpected.

Can YOU guess my trick?
