*This is a poem-like thing I wrote last night when I figured out my little brother has covid right after my dad just healed from it. Things are not going well in my life, but God is still with me.*

_______

The pressure is building.

Inside these walls, fear fog my vision, doubt clouds my faith.

I stumble through the darkness, trying to find a light, a way out.

My tears fall, vanishing into the night.

I can hear Your voice echo through the deep, Your soft words chipping at the grime accumulating on my heart like barnacles.

Fear.

Worry.

Anger.

Doubt.

These all cling to me, haunting me constantly. It darkens my heart, my vision, my faith.

Through it all, you're walking beside me, waiting for me to look up, break the surface of the deep, and take your hand.

No matter what comes my way, no matter how big the waves climb, You are there, guiding me through the night.

___

I believe that the God above is the one and only god, who created us and the world. I believe that through everything in life, HE is there, waiting for us to take his hand and lead us to the Light beyond the darkness.

I know you posted this a while ago, but this was so heartfelt and meaningful, and I felt that I could feel a little bit of what you did. For some reason, it reminded me of when my grandpa died. That must have been really hard!! 😭 God is ALWAYS with you, ALWAYS there for you, he will NEVER leave you, and he loves you unconditionally. No matter what. Don't ever forget that!!!! ❤

wow, very short, but very meaningful. How ironic, I just wrote a story called 'Not All Pain Can be Borne Alone'. what are the odds? Anyway, now onto what really matters. it was super heart-felt and full of emotion, even though it was short. I could feel what you were feeling (on a smaller scale, I'm sure). Words have power, and so do actions. I love the little tid-bit at the end about faith. He is always there for us, no matter how rough the waves, no matter how dense the darkness, and there is great comfort in that. The sun will rise again...

Yeah, just remember: Night is never eternal. Repeat it in your head, every second you need it. Open your eyes and see that God is beside you, smiling down on you and offering his hand. And in the darkness, the night, beyond the mountains of fear, the sun is beginning to rise. I wrote a story once about a character who was in a very dark place, he wandered through life drowning in his 'ocean' of fear and doubt, but when he met a certain person, that person helped pull him from the 'water' and the character saw there had always been hands rea...
