"OMNIA MUTANTUR, NOS ET MUTAMUR IN ILLIS"

Novus, my boyfriend said out of the blue. Well, yes. He is my boyfriend, as of now.

"What did you say, Novus?" I asked him with so much confusion. Ugh! Here we go again. He always say those words, but I can't still say what it means. I am not interested to know it, tho.

"Nothing, love. How was the preparation for your debut tommorow?" he said with a pure smile on his lips but his eyes tell that he is not happy. 

"Ow! Ahmm... It was good! Actually, I need to tell you something. Say yes, huh?" I said with puppy eyes, while playing with my hands. I hope he'll agree.

"What is it first... Hmm?" he said and pinched my cheeks.

"John is coming tomorrow for my debut and I just wanna ask—" 

"Yes. Yes! Of course it's okay." he said without removing the smile on his lips.

"Ow em! Thank you, love!" because of so much happiness, I've jumped and hugged him so tight.

"Woah. Woah. HAHA that's enough for now, love. Reserve that energy for tomorrow. Y-your love will be there. So yeah ... haha. Your love will be there, surely."

"OMG John! You can't believe this!" I've called John to inform him that Novus agreed to my—our plan.

John and I planned to be on the party tomorrow and to announce that we're finally together, again. But it just so happened that Novus only knew that John will come to the party, and that's it. Which is not.

"What is it?"

"Novus agreed!"

"S-seriously? That was great? Let's say it to mom and—"

"Do you think it would be fine for him?" I've cut him with those words.

"I don't think so, but I think... My mom and your family need to know that we are finally together. I mean, again. I'm sure, they will be happy. Besides, your mom really wants me for you. She don't want Novus to be your boyfriend. I know. And I'm sure..." he laughed, so I asked him.

"What?" 

"I know that you don't love him. So stop pretending." he said and laughed, again.

"I needed him. I mean, I need someone beside me when you weren't around, right? It's your fault, duh." I stopped and think of what I said, a second ago. That was too harsh—but it's true.

"Hey, why so bad to Novus?" and we both laughed.

OMG! Is this for real!? I am 18 years old, now!?

As I open my eyes, I saw the door opened. Novus stepped his feet slowly while looking at the bouquet of flowers he was holding. I rise up and sit.

"Oh h-hi, love! I thought you're still sleeping..."

"...sorry if I've interrupted your sleep and just entered without knocking." he scratched his nape.

"It's okay, love. Ahmm..." I cleared my throat and brushed my hair with my bare hands. I rubbed my eyes after.

"Is there something you'll gonna tell me?" he asked and bit his lower lip.

"It's just... John and—"

"Allure! Oh my gosh! You are at your lega— Ow hi, Papa Novus!" we looked at Perry, my gay friend as he walked through my room without knocking. Ugh! Is it on the trend to just enter a PRIVATE room without knocking?

"It seems like Perry wanna have some fun with you, so I guess I need to give you this." he handed me the bouquet of flowers he was holding. He smiled and held my hand while giving it to me. His eyes seems to be irritated. Uhh, did he just cried or something?

"Thank you, love. I love you." I grinned awkwardly and removed my hands from his grip.

"I love you too my dearest Allure. I really do."

"I'm gonna film this, love HAHA!" the guy said while hugging the girl so tight, yet looking at the camera.

"Hey, New! Look at me. Don't just film it." the girl said while hugging the guy, too. They have mud all over their body.

"Okay..."

"I love you too, New. But y-you already knew it. I love Juanito more than I—" the guy putted his finger on her lips to stop her from saying something.

"Shhh... I know, but that doesn't matter as long as you are here with me. I loved you. I love you. And I will always love you, even if your love for me wasn't true."

"Awwwww" the guests on my debut shouted. We're watching a movie that Novus prepared for my party.

"Okay guys. Thank you for paying attention on that wonderful movie. Now the most awaited part of the party was about to start! Are you all ready?"

"YES!"

My favorite song played and my father danced with me and then my brothers, and my friends. As Novus came near me the song changed.

Somebody told me you were leaving

"Hi my dearest Allure. You know how much I've waited for this time. It's been a year..." he whispered as he held my waist and started a mellifluous dance with me. 

"I thought you'll gonna be my last dance." I said with my brows furrowed.

"Shhhh... Let me finish haha" he sniffed and wiped his tears on his tuxedo.

"Why are you crying Novus?"

"You know what my name means?" he asked, still crying.

"Hmm.. no" I said and shook my head.

"It means 'new'..."

"Ow c'mon Novus! I don't know what does those words mean. You've never told me" I said while laughing. I tapped his shoulder lightly. 

"All things are changing, and we are changing with them." 

"What do you mean?" my brows furrowed again. 

"I knew about you and John."

My smile faded and I was about to explain my side and say something but he stopped me.

"Shhh.. New and the girl on the movie was real. The story was filmed on the late 80's. The story was true and... They died because of an accident b-but they were reincarnated on our time."

"Novus..." a tear dropped from eye, unexpectedly.

"For the second time my Queen, you chose him..."

" ...but I will say it, again. I love you, my dearest Allure. I really do. And I will always do. I wish you all the best. I finally accepted our—my fate. So b-be with him." he came closer to my ears and whispered simultaneously with the lyrics of the song.

"We just have to say our love was true

So I'm tellin' you I love you..." he kissed me softly and smiled.
