Drama Funny Romance

Celest Wilson. Wow she was so pretty, but did she know that we went to the same school? Lived in the same town? Or even that I existed?! I don't think so. I'm so basic looking, I mean how could a girl like her ever like me. I have dark brown hair with sharp facial features. I am tall and scrawny with green eyes. Ugh. Why does life have to be so hard. And here I was making life even harder by thinking of a girl who could never want me back. But what if she did? What if she really did like me but she was too afraid to say it? I watched as she swung her long red hair over her shoulder. She turned around and we made an awkward eye contact. Then she did something totally unreasonable, she rolled her eyes. What was that! Why, what did I do wrong. As she turned back to face the front of her class she had a disgusted expression all over her face. Ok, maybe she wasn't looking at me. I settled for that and began to focus again.

Two days later and I still couldn't stop thinking about her. Maybe she was just trying to mask her emotions and hide how much she really liked me. I mean I wasn't an ugly guy. Wait, was I? Oh well, today is the day. It was now Friday and I was finally going to ask Celest if she would go to the football game with me. Of course I wasn't on the team but, I didn't like sports anyway. This was just a way to get her to go out with me. She had to say yes. I think I would die of embarrassment if she didn't. She's super pretty, and super popular. That would suck! Ok well here I go!

That was the stupidest thing I have ever done in my life. She said no! And then she laughed! She wasn't even polite about it! And then I said, "Remember how much fun we had at Maddie's party last year?" Trying to bring back good memories. Then she replied, "Dude I've never even talked to you. Ever." Time for revenge.

How was I going to go about this? Well, I had to embarrass her as much as she embarrassed me. So, she publicly humiliated me, made the situation awkward and laughed straight in my face. I finally decided that I was going to follow her around and make up rumors. And to add to the pain, I was going to pretend to be her best friend and (basically) ruin her life. Now, lets get started.

Okay it was February 14, Valentines day. Time to make some noise. I walk into school and hear girls voices. Celest. Just where I knew she would be. With her usual posy gathered around her. It was the perfect moment! I walk up to her and drape my arm over her shoulder.

"Hey Celest!" I said a little to loudly. "Do you have any plans today?" I said with a huge grin.

"Celest, isn't this the dude you rejected?" Her friend whispered.

"Ummm, yeah it sure is." she replied with a weird twitch in her eye. Yes! She is already mad! "Okay, I already told you to back off. So, can you just like, leave me alone?" Celest smiled and whacked my hand from her shoulder. Her face became dark as she said, "You better step away or I will make your life miserable."

Wow I didn't know that she would talk like that. And as I started to walk away, I watched her turn back to her friends with a smile on her face. How could she turn that anger on and off so quickly? I have no idea why I thought I wanted to take her out. I mean she didn't even remember me! We had went to Maddie's party together and had so much fun! We talked all night and now she doesn't even remember my name? What was wrong with this girl?! I slowly walked to class and pondered what my next move would be. I mean obviously I had to keep bugging her because I wanted to know why she didn't remember me. And, I still had so much revenge to unleash upon that girl.

Just as I walked into class she stepped into the class, all normal. In fact, she looked super good. But now that I had seen that crazy, glazed look in her eyes, I knew better than that. She wasn't as pretty on the inside as she was within. I studied her as she sat into her seat. Something was telling me that Celest had some problems. But, I just didn't know what they were! I was going to find out one way or another. I stared at her all class until she suddenly turned around and stared straight back at me. I quickly looked away but I could feel her eyes burning a whole in my head. Why couldn't she just look away! I was beginning to think that maybe I should leave her alone. At least for a little while. When I finally had the courage to look back up, she had turned back to the front of the class. Good, that was creepy.

For the next week, I didn't try to pull anything even remotely embarrassing against Celest. Every now and then I would see her staring at me and I wondered how she could ever forget who I was. After school when I was walking home, I looked behind me and do you know who it was: Celest Wilson. Why was she following me? So, I started walking faster, I had to get away from her. I hadn't even embarrassed her that much either! All I did was say her name and ask some questions. What was her problem! Why was she getting all worked up? I had to know. So, I turned around and faced her. She caught up to me and whispered something unexpected, "I'm coming for you." Then she simply turned and walked away like nothing had happened.
